Glass rubber coated

MAJOR USES Used in the manufacture of solid rocket propellants lacquers plastics resins safety glasses rubber coating agents molding powders insect repellants pesticides solvent and plasticizer for cellulose acetate and cellulose acetate butyrate compositions. [Pg.88]

Radome Also called radiation dome. It is a cover for a microwave antenna used to protect the antenna from the environment on the ground, underwater, and in the air (aircraft nose cone, etc.). The dome is basically transparent to electromagnetic radiation and structurally strong. Different materials have been used such as wood, rubber-coated air-supported fabric, etc. The most popular is the use of glass fiber-TS polyester RPs. The shape of the dome, that is usually spherical, is designed not to interfere with the radiation. [Pg.642]

Wear nitrile rubber gloves, safety glasses, laboratory coat, and self-contained breathing apparatus if necessary. Cover spill with a 1 1 1 mixture by weight of sodium carbonate or calcium carbonate, clay cat litter (bentonite), and sand. Scoop into a container and transport to fume hood. Slowly add to a pail of cold water. When reaction has ceased, decant liquid to drain. Treat solid as normal refuse.5... [Pg.236]

An aerosol container consists of a number of components. The container may be constructed of aluminum or coated aluminum (to prevent interactions with the product). Other materials have been employed, including tinplate, glass, plastic-coated glass, and polycarbonate. The valve that is attached to the opening of the container may be constructed of aluminum or tinplate, in the main, with additional components, such as valve stem and gaskets, being made of a variety of polymers or rubbers [1,3-5]. [Pg.329]

Use Plasticizer for nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, resins, rubber, and in solid rocket propellants lacquers plastics rubber coating agents safety glass molding powders insect repellent. [Pg.453]

The above formulation is very general because the patent is for foam rubber backing for a composite material (woven or non-woven glass fabric coated with PVC). In this invention, fabric is coated mainly to hold woven fibers in position to provide a stable mesh for further processing and use. It should be noted that similar processes may also be used to manufacture mesh such as that used in window screens. [Pg.181]
