The second task is then analysing the results of the scan. The results can be displayed live on a display screen, or stored and presented all at once or after further scaling and analysis. This playback feature of sample data will be the subject of the remainder of the paper, for as we will see the playback need not be immediate nor on site, but could take place synchronously or asynchronously over the Internet.

While some video display screens such as liquid crystal, gas plasma or vacuum fluorescent displays do not present the same charged screen hazards as CRTs, this does not imply that they are safe for use in hazardous locations. This requires special design and certification for use with a given flammable atmosphere. Non-certified equipment used in locations classified as hazardous under Article 500 of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code require a purged or pressurized enclosure to control ignition hazards as described in NFPA 496 Standard for Purged and Pressurized Enclosures for Electrical Equipment. The screen in this case is located behind a window in the enclosure. 

Use is controlled by specifying the software by type designation and version in the development and production test procedures or a register which relates products to the test software which has to be used to verify its acceptability. You should also provide procedures for running the software on the host computer or automatic test equipment. They may of course be menu driven from a display screen and keyboard rather than paper procedures. 

The actual computation is broken down into two steps (1) A Collision Step, during which the value of a site is sent to a computation look-up table, with its input written to the display screen memory as in CAM-6. RAPl s screen memory consists of 16 256 x 512 planes, (2) A Propagation Step, during which the system is decomposed into a set of one-bit two-dimensional planes (one plane for each bit of each site), and the bits of each site are displaced to one of the site s neighbors by a translation of the entire plane.

The PSM Rule requires that a FMEA be performed by a team, all of whose members participate in the analysis. Under the second type of real time data acquisition, we have direct entry methods where essentially you are incorporating an actual terminal into the sensory evaluation booth itself. Harmonic analyzers or harmonic meters are relatively simple instruments for measuring and recording harmonic distortion data.
