These Regulations only apply to employers whose workers regularly use display screen equipment (DSE) as a significant part of their work, e.g. daily, for continuous periods of an hour or more. The Regulations do not apply to workers who use DSE infrequently or for short periods of time. The cathode ray tubes are scanned in a raster like a television picture.
