Nomenclature. The compound on which the enzyme acts is known as the substrate. The name of the enzyme is now usually obtained by adding the termination ase to the name of the substrate. Thus an enzyme which hydrolyses an ester is known as an esterase. Nevertheless the older names of many enzymes still persist owing to their early disco ieiy. In some cases the name of the enzyme indicates the reaction w hich it catalyses, e.g. oxidase.

Although a number of low temperature processes have been studied, only a few have been used commercially. These have been limited in the types of coal that are acceptable, and the by-products are less valuable than those obtained from high temperature processing. The Disco process is used in the United States to supply a limited amount of fuel to meet requirements of smoke ordinances. The British CoaUte and Rexco processes produced substantial amounts of domestic smokeless fuel. Development of fluid-bed methods of carbonizing finer coal at ca 400°C has been studied in the United Kingdom. Muscarinic M3 Receptor. A pharmacophore model was derived from known M3 receptor antagonists, using the program DISCO, and 3D searching was performed by Unity 3D in the Astra Charnwood in-house compound repository and the databases of several commercial suppliers. Abstract joint actions come from Disco [Kurki-Suonio90], the OBJ tradition [Goguen90], and database transactions as well as from the general notion of the Objec-tory use case. 

The idea of joint actions between stateful objects was inspired by the work done in Disco [Kurki-Suonio90]. These authors describe how joint actions provide powerful abstractions, provide the first precise semantics for state charts in the context of object modeling, and show how entire object behavior models might be refined. 

The idea of a joint action as an abstraction of many possible interaction protocols was inspired by the work of Disco [Kurki-Suonio90], We treat localized actions as a degenerate case of joint actions. Clarifying the meaning of parameters (and the corresponding rales and documentation for refinement) in the context of objects, and the treatment of use cases, we believe to be unique to our approach. Kessler et al. developed the Difference and Sums of Traces within Cosy Spectra (DISCO) technique for the extraction of couplings from the crosspeaks of two-dimensional (COSY) spectra. This post-processing technique combined selected cross-sections of these peaks in order to extract the active coupling , i.e., /ab from the cross-peak of A and B. After such combination, the active coupling was the separation of the in-phase and anti-phase DISCO peaks. DISCO requires accurate scaling of the constituent spectra and resolved cross-peaks. An alternative and simpler method for the accurate measurement of vicinal couplings from COSY spectra has been presented by Kim and Prestergard. ...
