Acoustic curtain walls (also called flexible or soft walls) are engineered industrial fabric curtains layered with soundabsorbing materials specifically designed to reduce excessive noise in virtually any industrial, commercial or institutional facility. Some walls can reduce noise levels inside buildings by up to 22-25 decibels (dB), making a space approximately four times quieter than it would be without them, depending on the existing noise frequency levels. 

The idea behind acoustic curtain walls is to protect employees hearing and enhance the comfort of people who work in noisy areas. The walls can be used to isolate loud-mnning equipment and noisy operations. Often, they re used to partition and quiet down different areas in large buildings and multi-use facilities. Typical applications of acoustic curtain walls include factories, machine shops and a diverse range of industrial operations. 

Anodic films are colored by the action of its alloy elements, by the electrolyte, or by dyeing to provide a decorative appearance for architectural materials such as building curtain walls and for window frames. For example, the anodic film formed on Al-Si 4043 alloys with a sulfuric acid bath exhibits a gray color, while a gold color is formed in an oxalic acid bath. The oxalic acid film exhibits superior corrosion resistance over the sulfuric acid film. 

Fabrics made from PLA fibers have also passed flammability tests such as NFPA 701, which covers the fire safety requirements for textiles used in interior furnishings for public occupancy buildings. Typical products include drapery, cubicle curtains, wall covering and protective outdoor coverings such as tarpaulins and tents. 

Glass-Reinforced Polyester. Laminates of glass-reinforced polyester find wide use in automobile bodies, aircraft, boats, swimming pools, tanks, prefabricated housing systems, curtain walls, and lightweight building panels. 

Standards and codes developed for the effects of winds on normal buildings should be used for the evaluation of the local effects, with special care taken for the dynamic effects exerted by the wind on the roof, curtain walls and glass openings. The reference values for nominal wind velocity should be consistent with the selected DBEE policy.
