European authorities have raised concern over the cou-marin content of cassia (BfR 2006 EFSA 2008). In the 1980s, coumarin was suspected to have genotoxic and carcinogenic effects, although more recent evidence suggests that coumarin is not genotoxic (Lake 1999 Sproll et al. 2008). As of 2008, the European Food Safety Authority indicated that the appropriate total daily intake (TDI) level of coumarin in foods was 0.1 mg/kg, and that intake of three times this amount for 1 to 2 weeks posed no concerns (EFSA 2008). It is therefore recommended that autoclaves be placed in concrete cells or behind concrete walls for safety reasons. The concrete cells should be vented moreover it is recommended to install instruments for monitoring the carbon monoxide and hydrogen contents in the air of the autoclave cells. A number of publications describe construction and installation of suitable autoclave bunkers [836, 837]. The regulations of the local safety authorities should be carefully observed. 

Biogenic amine content in foods is subject to European legislation under Directive 91/439/ EEC, which allows up to a limit of 100 mg/kg of histamine in fishery products. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA, 2011) has set the limit of histamine tolerance in foods in general at 50 mg/kg. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA, 2011) has also set a limit for meat products of 50 mg/kg for histamine and up to 600 mg/kg for tyramine. 

The audit includes a review of the process safety information, inspection of the physical facilities, and interviews with all levels of plant personnel. Using the procedures and checklist, the team systematically analyzes compliance with the PSM Rule and any other relevant corporate policies. The training program is reviewed for adequacy of content, frequency and effectiveness of training. Interviews determine employee knowledge and awareness ofthe safety procedures, duties, rules, and emergency response assignments. The team identifies deficiencies in the application of safety and health policies, procedures, and work authorization practices to determine live actions. 

Guidance notes relevant to sound health and safety practices are published from time to time by the Health and Safety Executive. They have no legal status or significance such as found in Codes of Practice. However, as their content is normally based on a wealth of practical experience, it would be expected by the enforcing authorities that employers would follow the advice contained in them.

Deton velocities were confirmed using high vel framing cameras. The author concludes that the w content conditions of the test prevail in expl mfg plants after expl washing and filtering. He recommends that these expls be assigned a safety classification of Class 9 at this step in their processing... 

The isocyanate and polyol storage units must not share pumps or any fittings. The fitting must be such that there is no way that the wrong material can be added to a tank. All tanks must be clearly labeled with their contents and the appropriate safety signs, for example, isocyanate hazard signs. Most regulatory authorities will require the tanks to be in a suitably sized bunded (diked) area.

Quality control for herbal medicaments that are sold as dietary supplements in most countries is poor (113,114). Thus, considerable variations in the contents of active ingredients have been reported, with lot-to-lot variations of up to 1000% (115). In most countries, the sale and supply of herbal remedies is to a large extent uncontrolled and unregulated most herbal remedies are sold as unlicensed food supplements and their safety, efficacy, and quality have therefore not been assessed by licensing authorities. Adulteration and contamination of herbal remedies with other plant material and conventional drugs have been documented (25,116) (Table 1).
