Electrotransport technology offers a number of benefits for therapeutic appHcations, including systemic or local adininistration of a wide variety of therapeutic agents with the potential adininistration of peptides and proteins long-term noninvasive administration, improving convenience and compliance controlled release, providing a desired deflvery profile over an extended period with rapid onset of efficacious plasma dmg levels and in some cases reduced side effects and a transport rate relatively independent of skin type or site. Additional benefits include easy inception and discontinuation of treatment, patterned and feedback-controlled deflvery, and avoidance of first-pass hepatic metaboHsm. 

Internal QA audits must be conducted and documented at a defined frequency to ensure overall compliance, control, and effectiveness of the quality elements. Such audits should be conducted by members of the QAU or third-party compliance specialists and the results reported directly to the senior management of the corporation. The senior management should prepare an action plan to address any deficiencies and follow up to confirm adequate implementation.

The Validation Plan must be reviewed and approved before issue. They are regulatory documents specifying the quality and compliance controls nsed to manage the deployment of a compnter system. At a minimum, a Validation Plan shonld be signed and dated by the System Owner as well as by the Quality and Compliance representative.

In the HOS Compliance, Controlled Substance and Alcohol, and Driver Fitness BASICs, the normalizing factor is the total number of time-weighted driver inspections. The Vehicle Maintenance and HM BASICs use time-weighted vehicle inspections to normalize the data.

In the passive joint torque control mode, an external force given to the arm can be absorbed smoothly. Here, a stiffness control, a compliance control and an impedance control are considered by using the inner servo system given by Equation 3.2.

The combined adviser/enforcer role allows for the exercise of considerable discretion on the part of the inspector with a corresponding potential for corruption. There is obvious concern on the part of the client that discretion may be exercised capriciously or arbitrarily - the industrial company can have no confidence in the evenhanded application of the law - at the end of the day it may depend on whether or not the inspector likes them or how obsequious they were to the inspector. The advisory, training, and information roles take inspectorial staff away from what is their compliance control function - currently less than 30% of available time in most inspectorial systems is spent in actually undertaking workplace visits. As a result, most employers have no expectation that they will be visited by an inspector (Larsson, 1998). 

Since the 1970s change of paradigm in government control of industrial safety, the duty of care compliance control approach has been specifically tailored for the OH S administrative resources of the large industrial corporations (Gun, 1992 Larsson, 1997). 

Out-sourcing, sub-contracting and self-insurance among large corporations in Australia has increased, and as growing proportions of the labour force are self-employed, in small business or have been forced into informal or temporary employment, the compliance control arm of government has been left with inadequate tools to do the Job effectively.
