Before investigating the details regarding the dynamic modeling framework, however, it is useful to review the t5 ical process for developing brand plans and commercial evaluations for an NCE, as well as highlight some deficiencies in the existing approaches of strategy development in the pharmaceutical industry.

Dynamic models operationally define and quantify the flows of patients, which represent opportunities in a given marketplace. In general, the patient flow component recreates the structure and magnitude of patient movements within a simulation environment representing an indication marketplace. This type of operational examination of market dynamics becomes a useful commercial evaluation tool. In addition, it can help inform and test key marketing strategies considered for an NCE s brand plan designed to maximize that potential. 

Lesquerella oil is a lesser known, naturally hydroxylated seed oil that is derived from the genus Lesquerella. Of many different wild species, Lesquerella fendleri is currently the only species being developed for commercial evaluation [69]. The plant is native to the southwestern USA, and is typical in mildly alkaline, arid soils. Some attempts to investigate the adaptation of L. fendleri [70-72] to a wider enviromnent have indicated that the plant is not widely adaptable. Low adaptability, combined with difficult oil recovery and moderate acreage yield of the oil may be limiting factors in the broad commercial development of lesquerella oil.

The market development function is essential because many plastics are so new and different that they must be introduced carefully (1) it must be demonstrated that you have a product with performance and consistency, verified by commercial evaluations (2) consistent processability must be demonstrated (3) initial availability is probably limited by pilot plant or semi-works capacities and (4) the end users must be sold on the performance of a product and specific applications developed.

The commercial evaluation is essentially an arithmetical exercise to determine the optimum combination of estimated hours, bare salaries, and contractor s mark-ups. Bidders must be required to submit this information as part of the bid. 

The overheads and profit reflect contractor s cost of doing business, operating costs, management, marketing, etc., and is usually the determining factor in the commercial evaluation. 

Another important consideration in the commercial evaluation is the bidder s reaction to the Owner s pro forma contract included in the bid package. A strongly negative reaction could be an insurmountable obstacle, especially if it pertains to ingrained management principles. However, this would be an extreme case and in real life reasonable people will negotiate a mutually satisfactory agreement. 

Various natural pigment classes, such as llavonoids, an-thocyanins, carotenoids, chlorophylls and chlorophyll derivatives, porphyrins, quinones, anthraqinones, be-talains, and so forth are abundant in many famihes of the vegetable and animal kingdoms. As consumers generally dislike the color of synthetic dyes, the concentration and composition of pigments in foods and food products exert a considerable impact on the consumer acceptance and, consequently, on the commercial value of the products. It has been proven many times that one of the main properties employed for the commercial evaluation of the quahty of products is their color that is, an adequate color is an important requirement of marketabihty. 

Since the effectiveness of a separate particle vanadium trap such as RV4+ depends on the ability of the vanadium to migrate from the catalyst to the trap, a number of laboratory experiments and commercial evaluations were designed to measure vanadium mobility. Vanadium mobility can be discussed in terms of intraparticle mobility, interparticle mobility from the catalyst to the trap, and interparticle mobility from the trap to the catalyst (irreversibility). These three areas are discussed below[6]. 

Dionex (61) and Kaneka (62) have demonstrated the feasibility of developing products for targeted apphcations. Several licenses have been signed and commercial evaluation has started in US, Japan and Europe. 

For forensic or commercial evaluations, light microscopy can readily determine whether or not hair of unknown history has been dyed with a permanent hair dye or has recently been dyed with a semipermanent dye. Human scalp hair does not generally contain pigment in the cuticle. Therefore, a light microscopic evaluation of fiber cross sections or even an optical section can readily reveal whether the hair in question has been treated with a commercial hair dye by determining whether the cuticle has been dyed. 

Synthetic pvrethroids. Apart from widespread use as household Insecticides, and In treatment of fruit, vegetables, tobacco, and cotton, synthetic pyrethrolds are used for treatment of stock and wool. Some such as (IR)-phenothrln also have public health applications such as treatment of head lice. In different parts of the world, permethrin, bloresmethrln, deltamethrln and natural pyrethrlns are used, and (IR)-phenothrln has been commercially evaluated. Few ELISA assays for pyrethrolds have been developed to date, and those that have, are.for other compounds, such as -bioallethrlnQS), cvpermethrInf 161 and tetramsthrlnf 17 ). We have used monoclonal antibodies generated by collaborators at the University of Callfomia(18) in our initial studies. 

All the foregoing reactions except 2 and 11 have been reported in the patent literature or are known to have been commercially evaluated.) In each...

A 1,4-polymerization such as with butadiene has not yet been established. Some polymers have been commercially evaluated.
