Clients site controls

Many of the site controls have been covered earlier in this chapter (Section 7.2 - General hazards and controls). Site controls can be conveniently subdivided under four headings - site planning, site preparation, site security and the arrangements with the client and/or occupier of the premises.

Edcfy-cufrent NDT inspections using spatial data (sampled scans) ha >e many benefits. They separate the two conflicting aspects of an inspection scanning and signal interpretation. An instrument/display (client/server) based NDT inspection based on sampled scan data aides in the training and certification of inspectors. It can be used over the Internet or in-house Intranet networks to train or examine inspectors at multiple or remote sites. This saves travel time and resources as defects, instrumentation and teaching can all be consolidated Samples can be maintained and distributed from a central certification body providing more control andflexibility. 

Safety should be completely in the hands of the contractor controlling the site, unless the client is in occupation. Keep a high profile in dealings on safety matters, and ensure that staff and any other parties are conscious of the need for safety. 

FDA has recently indicated that FDA s traditional model of manufacturing site inspections and border examinations is simply not adequate in today s transformed world (Mullin, 2011). There is a general understanding that when companies outsource a function(s) to a CRO/CMO that these organisations in turn, become subject to the same regulatory responsibilities and scrutiny as their clients, i.e. control of the product s quality has to be maintained (Linna et al., 2008). 

Reports, concerning in particular meetings activities such as inspection, expediting and site visits project controls such as cost reports and project progress reports to the client. 

The number of systems an organization has in operation is one factor in choosing remote control. It becomes more cost effective to collect and revie v data without site visits as the number of cathodically protected structures increases. The sophistication of the client and his consultant is another factor. 

Requirements for specific responsibilities within contractor staff, e.g. stipulating for a site safety officer >- Risk control measures required by the client >- Heaith and safety performance standards required >- Limits on the contractor s actions and areas of invitation... 

In order to do this the client would need to establish joint management procedures with the contractor. The nature and degree of control required must be kept in proportion to the size and complexity of the project, and will depend on the extent of risk involved in the work and the nature of the work site. 

Each client station on this network is connected to a network controller that is the main server [4]. The idea is to develop a real-time communication medium between the physician s panel and subject s site for the quick monitoring of subject s condition, as collecting subjects physiological information timely is important for clinicians to make treatment advices in time, which is of significant importance for saving lives and ensuring patient s safety [S]. 

Having successfully diagnosed the electrical fault and carried out the necessary repairs or having completed any work in the electrical industry, we come to the final practical task leaving the site in a safe and clean condition and the removal of any waste material. This is an important part of your company s good customer relationships with the client. We also know from Chapter 3 of Basic Electrical Installation Work 8th Edition that we have a duty of care for the waste that we produce as an electrical company (see Chapter 3, under the subheading Controlled Waste Regulations 1998 ). 

Access to a HTTP server is not always direct. Many institutions use proxy servers to reduce Internet traffic. A proxy server looks to the client like a normal Web server. It maintains a cache of recently requested documents and serves the text of repeatedly requested URLs from the cache, avoiding, for example, transatlantic data transfer. If the document is not in the cache, the proxy passes the request to the real server, receives-the response, caches it and forwards a copy to the original requester. This scheme can become problematic if access controls are in place, since the query seems to originate from the proxy host, which might not be in the access list of the server, or if dynamically generated pages customized from earlier user-dependent input are sent. Additionally, there are automatic redirection mechanisms which allow a server to tell a client that a page has moved and the browser may, upon receipt of such a hint, autonomously fetch the information from the new site.
