This formulation can ba used in high-pressure spray washing cleaners, diluted for hard-surface cleaning or used as is for an enhanced consumer household bleach.

For hard-surface cleaners, the expected foam profile has to be versatile. Multipurpose-cleaner flash foam is a signal of the presence of the product in a water bucket and, to a certain extent, of its efficacy, combined with the water s change of appearance. ALfter perception of this first signal of efficacy by the consumer, foam has to break very quickly to convey to the user that, at the end of the cleaning process, the product will be readily rinsed off the surface. 

Studies [24] have shown that linear alcohol ethoxylates made with short-chain alcohols are effective as hard-surface cleaners. A shorter-chain hydrophobe is thought to confer greater solvency on the surfactant, which assists in the removal of solid, greasy soils. An intermediate amount of ethylene oxide was also found to be generally best for hard-surface cleaning.
