The Danish List of Undesirable Substances is a list of chemicals of concern that the government believes should be avoided to the extent feasible in commerce. Using a systematic analysis, substances are selected automatically if they meet some clear and defined criteria, for example, problematic classifications, because they are imder suspicion for being PBT/vPvB (Persistent, Bioaccumulative, Toxic/very Persistent, very Bio accumulative) or endocrine-disrupting. 

The goal of an effective VTE prophylaxis program is to identify all patients at risk, determine each patient s level of risk, and select and implement regimens that provide sufficient protection for the level of risk. OAt the time of hospital admission, all patients should be evaluated for their risk of VTE, and strategies to prevent VTE appropriate for each patient s level of risk should be routinely employed. None of these points holds for racial classifications in affirmative action in employment and education, in transracial adoptions, and in electoral redistricting. In each case other individuals or groups are directly impacted or are denied something on the basis of race. In most cases, the preferences are not based on objective, scientific physical differences but on claims about the fairness of selection criteria, about compensation for past wrongs, about diversity for educational purposes, about distributive claims based on the... 

In the previous paragraphs a brief account has been given of the fundamental aspects of the crystallographic description of the structures and structure types of solid phases. A number of symbols and names have been defined and their application to intermetallic compounds exemplified. It must, however, be underlined that both for historical reasons and for the need to improve classification and interpretation of the structural characteristics of intermetallic phases, other symbols and nomenclature criteria have been invented. Some of them have a mathematical basis, others are more colloquial. A selection of these criteria will be given in the following.

Perhaps the best place to begin in choosing appropriate hand protection is the American National Standard for Hand Protection Selection Criteria. It was developed by the American National Standards Institute and the International Safety Equipment Association. The standard addresses the classification and testing of hand protection for specific performance properties related to chemical and industrial applications.
