Chromatography with Chemiluminescence

Ion chromatography was applied with a column of Dionex AG4 A, eluting with KCl at pH 2.5. The effluent was reduced with SO2 solution, followed by a post-column reaction with luminol reagent, orthoboric acid (0.1 mol L ) and H2O2 (0.01 mol L ) at pH 11.5. The detection was by chemiluminescence. An aqueous calibrant of K2Cr207 was used for Cr(VI) determination, and an aqueous calibrant of KCr(S04)2 for Cr(III) determination. [Pg.157]

Silica was added to the reconstituted sample to remove Cr(III), which was followed by addition of NaOAc buffer (0.25 mol L pH 8), UV digestion for 3 h, addition of ACSV reagents (mixture of 5 mol NaN02, 0.5 mol NaOAc, and 0.025 mol DPTA). The detection was by DPCSV. An [Pg.157]
