Connell, P., et al.. The co-chaperone CHIP regulates protein triage decisions mediated by heat-shock proteins. Nat Cell Biol, 2001, 3(1), 93-6. [Pg.89]

Benzene (CAS No 71-43-2) will not normally be present, but always be less than the 0.1% w/w marker level in the 21st ATP to the Dangerous Substance Directive. Barbeque Lighting Eluid is not classified as a carcinogen under 67/548/EEC and the UK CHIP Regulations. [Pg.23]

Suggested classification under CHIP regulations as per The British Essential Oil Association member recommendations. [Pg.239]

The Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) (CHIP) Regulations 2009 require manufacturers and suppliers to provide users with information about hazards and health risks by labelling their products with relevant hazard information and by issuing Material Safety Data Sheets. [Pg.170]

Flammability classifications of solvents (and other chemicals) are based on flash point (fl.p.) measurements. Flash point is the lowest temperature at which a liquid has sufficient vapour pressure to form an ignitable mixture with air near the surface of the liquid. The following criteria currently apply (CHIP Regulations 2009) ... [Pg.177]

A community pharmacist is then authorised to dispense IDA on a prescription either alone or as an ingredient for an item for external use only such as a liniment or lotion (this could be for human or animal use). IDA may also be sold by the community pharmacist but only for medical or scientific purposes. Again, the purchaser would need to have authorisation and a copy of this authorisation would need to be in the pharmacist s possession. It should be noted that the supply can only be made for the use indicated on the user s authorisation and no other use. When labelled for a dispensed item the label must clearly state For external use only and also British National Formulary caution 15 Caution flammable keep away from fire or flames. In the case of labelling for sale this will be as outlined in the CHIP regulations. [Pg.264]

Chemicals (Hazardous Information and Packaging for Supply - CHIP) Regulations 2002, which implements Directive 67/548/EEC and its seventh amendment 92/32/ EEC, the Dangerous Preparations Directive (99/45/EC) and its amendments, and the Safety Data Sheet Directive (91/155/EEC)... [Pg.17]

The classification and labelling requirements under the Dangerous Preparations Directive 67/548/EEC are implemented by the CHIP Regulations. The Regulations require chemical suppliers to identify the hazards of substances and preparations. Dangerous chemicals then must be packaged suitably, provided with labels and accompanied by additional information for safe use (such as safety data sheets). [Pg.17]

Council Directive 91/414/EEC aims to harmonise the authorisation of plant protection products (PPPs). This also provides for the review of active substances currently on the market. The Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986 requires that only approved pesticides are sold, supplied, used, stored or advertised. Directive 79/117/EEC prohibits the placing on the market and the use of PPPs containing certain active substances. Directive 67/548/EEC is implemented via the CHIP Regulations (as above) and the Pesticide Residues Directives that set Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) in food regulations. [Pg.17]

Section 6 of the HSW Act and Regulation 6 of the CHIP Regulations define what information suppliers are required to provide in the suppliers safety data sheets... [Pg.136]

The following information is registered under the UK s Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging) (CHIP) Regulations 1993 for quick- and slaked limes [34.3] ... [Pg.397]

The CHIP Regulations implement the 88/379/EEC Dangerous Preparations Directive (DPD) and subsequent amendments/adaptions plus the 91/155/EEC Safety Data Sheets Directive. [Pg.398]

In the UK, as well as the on-going development of the COSHH and CHIP Regulations, new regulations have been introduced for lifting operations, press brakes and woodworking machinery. In addition, a considerable number of new booklets of advice and guidance have been published. [Pg.286]

When one or more receptacles are contained in a common outer packaging, the labelling may be in accordance with either of the two regulations (see section 4.7.8). Finally CHIP Regulations require chemicals to be packaged safely and in a manner to withstand the foreseeable conditions of supply and carriage. [Pg.835]

The exact nature of this information was never elaborated upon, so the CHIP Regulations were introduced to fill this gap, leaving the suppliers and customers in no doubt as to the information required to be provided to users. [Pg.139]

The CHIP Regulations lay down requirements for the packaging and labelling of these dangerous chemicals. The packaging requirements are straightforward, requiring only that the container for these types of substances shall be suitable for their contents, and shall be sealed when supplied. [Pg.139]

However, in April 2009, the MSDS sheets were no longer covered by the Chemicals Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply (CHIP) Regulations and have been transferred to the European Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction... [Pg.108]
