Verrucous Carcinoma and Papillary Squamous Cell Carcinoma... [Pg.260]

Verrucous carcinoma (VC) and papillary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) have a similar gross appearance, but VC has a pushing leading edge and no atypia, whereas PSCC shows c)rtologic atypia and more typical invasion. [Pg.260]

Systemic administration of colonic carcinogois yields the entire spectrum of changes seen in human colon cancer, including abnormal crypt architecture with disrupted proliferation, papillary and adenomatous polyps, carcinoma in situ, and adenocarcinoma (Thumherr et al., 1973). The distal colon is affected with the greatest frequency, and squamous cell canc of the anus is also produced. Dietary fat enhances the production of colonic tumors (Nigro et al., 1975), perhaps by increasing bile flow (Narisawa et al., 1974). [Pg.102]

Papillary adenoma or carcinoma, squamous-cell carcinoma, alveolar/bronchiolar adenoma or carcinoma... [Pg.483]

Epoxybutane was tested for eareinogenicity by inhalation exposure in one study in mice and in one study in rats, producing nasal papillary adenomas in rats of both sexes and pulmonary alveolar/bronchiolar tumours in male rats. It did not induce skin tumours when tested by skin application in one study in mice. Oral administration of trichloroethylene containing 1,2-epoxybutane to mice induced squamous-cell carcinomas of the forestomach, whereas administration of trichloroethylene alone did not (lARC, 1989). [Pg.631]

DOT CLASSIFICATION 8 Label Corrosive SAFETY PROFILE Confirmed carcinogen with experimental carcinogenic, neoplastigenic, and mmorigenic data. Poison by intraperitoneal route. Moderately toxic by inhalation and ingestion. Human mutation data reported. Can cause skin and papillary tumors by skin contact, and squamous cell carcinoma by inhalation. Will react with water or steam to produce toxic and corrosive fumes. A powerful lachrymator. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of CL and NOx. See also CHLORIDES. [Pg.531]
