Hydrazine sulfate [10034-93-2] N2H4 H2SO4, originally advanced by the Syracuse Cancer Research Institute for treatment of cancerous cachexia and tumor inhibition (221), now has Investigational New Dmg (IND) status in the United States. Clinical evaluations are under way at various institutions such as Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (222) and the Mayo Clinic. Work on hydrazine sulfate by Joseph Gold, M.D., of the Syracuse Cancer Research Institute, Syracuse, New York, is said to be based on the Warburg effect (Moss, 1992, p. 316). The theory is that hydrazine sulfate cuts off the supplies of new glucose in the liver and thus starves the cancer and stops cachexia, the wasting away that accompanies cancer. 

Another report concerns the work of Helen Coley Nauts, Ph.D., who founded the Cancer Research Institute, initially to study the effect of her father s vaccine against cancer, better known as Coley s Mixed Toxins. Interestingly, early data on cancer incidence show that there was very little lung cancer among men who smoked. Thus, in 1930 some 80% of the men smoked, but the death rate from lung cancer... 

Consider the further findings of Helen Coley Nauts, founder of the Cancer Research Institute and the daughter of William B. Coley, the developer of what are called Coley s Toxins. These findings resulted in Cancer Research Institute Monograph No. 8, dated 1980, which documented some 449 cases of cancer remission in patients with bacterial infections.
