Paramagnetic substances have positive susceptibihties, and induced magnetization augments the magnetic-flux density within the substance. Diamagnetic materials have negative susceptibilities, and an induced field in this case cancels part of the magnetic-field intensity. 

Since we are dealing explicitly with one electron outside a core, the self-energy correction which cancels part of the Coulomb and exchange terms has been removed from both to leave the pure Coulomb and exchange terms.

How can we apply molecular dynamics simulations practically. This section gives a brief outline of a typical MD scenario. Imagine that you are interested in the response of a protein to changes in the amino add sequence, i.e., to point mutations. In this case, it is appropriate to divide the analysis into a static and a dynamic part. What we need first is a reference system, because it is advisable to base the interpretation of the calculated data on changes compared with other simulations. By taking this relative point of view, one hopes that possible errors introduced due to the assumptions and simplifications within the potential energy function may cancel out. All kinds of simulations, analyses, etc., should always be carried out for the reference and the model systems, applying the same simulation protocols. 

PCTFE plastic is available in products that conform to ASTM 1430-89 Type 1 (Grades 1 and 2) and is suitable for processing into parts that meet MIL-P 46036 (Federal Specification LP-385C was canceled 1988). At high charge densities the asymptotic behavior is determined by the opposition of the coulombic and specific non-coulombic contributions. At low charge densities the entropic contribution is important and, in the case of a totally symmetric electrolyte, the effect of the specific non-coulombic interaction is cancelled so that the behavior of the system is determined by coulombic and entropic contributions. 

The first term is referred to as the diamagnetic contribution, while the latter is the paramagnetic part of the magnetizability. Each of the two components depend on the selected gauge origin however, for exact wave functions these cancel exactly. For approximate wave functions this is not guaranteed, and as a result the total property may depend on where the origin for the vector potential (eq. (10.61)) has been chosen. 

The first two terms can be evaluated right away, because the exact states tpk and are coupled by their full potentials, Vc and respectively, to unperturbed free space void states.
