As a disaster mental health relief worker, I followed the nursing process of observation, assessment, intervention, and outcome evaluation. Initially, an informal history was taken, with inquiry about a client s perceived needs, their eating and sleeping patterns, their support network, and their short-term priorities. Sometimes information about past traumas emerged. I always explored a client s repertoire of past and present coping skills. This was one more way to gauge mental health and to help determine their needs. Where appropriate, medical and psychiatric histories were explored with clients in greater detail.

These insights into the structure of sleep and the neurobiological processes underlying it have yielded several targets for therapeutic intervention and provided novel methods by which to assess the differential effects of hypnotics on sleep-relevant neural circuits.

The objective of assessing existing substances is to ascertain the risks involved in substances that have already been marketed and to reduce these, if necessary. Any restrictions on marketing and use that may be required represent a market intervention and therefore have to be substantiated well by the authorities.

The availability of frequent background-free determinations of left ventricular function will open additional uses for evaluation of the left ventricular ejection fraction and volume indices. The special vulnerability of children should form the basis for development of child-protective policies and risk assessment approaches. A lack of lull proof for causal associations should not prevent efforts to reduce exposures or implement intervention and prevention strategies. 

Observational methods - this describes the association between the treatment or intervention and the outcome. It uses monitoring techniques including epidemiological research, surveys and practice audits to assess the results. 

Demonstrate appropriate emergency documentation of assessments, interventions, nursing actions, and outcomes during and after an MCI. 

Evaluation Determines if the intervention worked. If the intervention is not successful, the nursing process begins again with an assessment, diagnoses, and a revised care plan.

The fourth broad use of a test result is concerned with patient management. In a patient with a chronic disease, the result may be used to select the type of intervention and assess the effectiveness of an intervention, and the action will be to change or continue the treatment. In women with metastatic breast cancer, the HER-2/ e status is used to assess the potential usefulness of Herceptin therapy. In a person with diabetes, hemoglobin (Hb) Ai measurements are used to assess glyceraic control and thus the effectiveness of therapy.
