Wastewater generation can be reduced by general good housekeeping procedures such as substituting dry cleanup methods for water washdowns of equipment and floors. This is especially applicable for situations where liquid or solid materials have been spilled. Flow measuring devices and pH sensors with automatic alarms to detect process upsets are two of many ways to effect reductions in water use. Floor polishes typically are evaluated for gloss, application and leveling properties, discoloration, slip resistance, scratch resistance, heel-mark resistance, scuff resistance, damp-mopping and detergent resistance, repairability, lack of sediment, and removability (3). Recoatability and formula stability are also important. A review of test methods is available (35). More than 20 ASTM test methods for floor polishes exist. Literature provided by the manufacturers suggests that Biodentine can be used for various applications, not only for pulp capping but also for other endodontic applications, such as repair of pulp chamber floor perforations and of lateral root perforations [95]. The polymer mortars with SF were tested by Ohama et al. (1989) in view of their application for industrial floors, decorative coatings and repair of concrete structures.
