Anti-icing agents

Use an anti-icing agent or solvent in fuel such as a propyl alcohol or diethyleneglycol compounds. 

Other additives to gasoline often include detergents to reduce the buildup of engine deposits, anti-icing agents to prevent stalling caused by carburetor icing, and antioxidants (oxidation inhibitors) used to reduce gum formation. 

As expected, recovery of the calcium salt of organic acids, mainly calcium lactate, from the culture medium needs attention, but little has been reported. Calcium lactate is formed during fermentation and precipitates, which can be removed by washing. The resulting organic salts from the DM process could be used as de- and anti-icing agents and/or preservatives. 

Good compatibility with fuel additives (anti-icing agents, corrosion inhibitors, anti-oxidants, etc.). 

Glycols are part of the formulation of anti-icing agents that are sprayed on aircraft in winter before takeoff, as well as brake fluid and fluids for hydraulic circuits. They are a basis for the production of polymers. They are also used as heat exchange fluids in cooling systems, and in systems for the recovery of thermal solar energy. 

A munber of additives are used to improve the properties of the products. For example, MMT is usually added to gasoline to increase the octane number since recent regulations forbid the use of lead in gasoline. Other additives, such as antioxidants, anti-icing agents, and metal deactivators, are also used. 

Has a monoester content of 50-60%, free glycerol 1%, and moisture 1%, maximum. It is used as a component in mold release agents, a vehicle for agricultural insecticides, an anti-icing fuel additive, and a rust preventive additive for compounded oils. It is used in the textile industry as a lubricant component in synthetic fiber spin finishes.
