Liquid Culture Medium Dissolve 15 g of peptonized milk, 5 g of water-soluble yeast extract, 10 g of anhydrous glucose, and 2 g of anhydrous potassium dihydrogen phosphate in about 600 mL of water. Add 100 mL of filtered tomato juice (filtered through Whatman No. 1 filter paper, or equivalent), and adjust to pH 6.5 by the dropwise addition of 1.0 N sodium hydroxide. Add, with mixing, 10 mL of the Polysorbate 80 Solution. Dilute with water to a final volume of 1000 mL. Add 10-mL portions of this Liquid Culture Medium to test tubes, cover to prevent contamination, and sterilize by heating in an autoclave at 121° for 15 min. Cool the tubes rapidly to keep color formation to a minimum, and store at 10° in the dark. [Pg.509]

A dose of 1.5 mg is dispensed in a two-chamber cartridge. The front chamber contains recombinant somatropin (1.5 mg) (approximateiy 4.5 iU), giycine (27.6 mg), sodium dihydrogen phosphate anhydrous (0.3 mg), and disodium phosphate anhydrous (0.3 mg) the rear chamber contains 1.13-mL water for injection. The 5.8-mg dose system has in the rear chamber 0.3% m-cresoi (as a preservative) and mannitoi, 45 mg in 1.14-mL water for injection. Long acting contains 13.5 mg of somatropin,... [Pg.347]

Phosphate buffer (pH 6.2 - 6.5) Dissolve 24g of anhydrous disodium hydrogen phosphate (Na2HP04), 46 g of anhydrous potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4) and 5.8 g of EDTA (di.sodium salt) in 1 litre of distilled water. [Pg.1]

Most fertilizers contain aU three major plant nutrients N, P, and K, and are called complete fertilizers. A typical complete fertilizer might contain ammonium nitrate or sodium nitrate to provide nitrogen. Calcium dihydrogen phosphate, Ca(H2P04)2, or the anhydrous form of phosphoric acid, P40 q, can provide phosphorus. Potassium chloride, KCl, or potassium oxide, K2O, can provide potassium. [Pg.785]
