Ammonia chloride fumes

The technology is primarily applicable to the removal of inorganic fumes, vapors, and gases (e.g., chromic acid, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, chlorides, fluorides, and SOj) volatile organic compounds (VOC) and particulate matter (PM), including PM less than or equal to 10 micrometers ( m) in aerodynamic diameter (PM,q), PM less than or equal to 2.5 m in aerodynamic diameter (PMj 5), and hazardous air pollutants (HAP) in particulate form (PM ap)-... [Pg.447]

Ammonia solution (concentrated). The commercial concentrated ammonia solution is a water-like liquid with a characteristic smell, owing to the evaporation of ammonia gas. It has a density of 090 gem-3, contains 58-6% (w/w) NH3 (or 0-53 g NH3 per ml), and is approximately 15 1 molar. It should be handled with care, wearing eye protection. Direct smelling of the solution should be avoided. The solution should be kept far apart from concentrated hydrochloric acid to avoid the formation of ammonium chloride fumes. [Pg.569]

ANTIMONY TRICHLORIDE (10025-91-9) Cl3Sb Contact with moist air forms corrosive hydrogen chloride fumes. Contact with water, steam forms hydrochloric acid and toxic antimony oxychloride. Aqueous solution is an acid. Violent reaction with ammonia, strong bases, amines, amides, and inorganic hydroxides alkali metals finely divided aluminum potassium, sodium. Attacks metals, releasing flammable... [Pg.91]

COBALT CHLORIDE or COBALT(II) CHLORIDE (7646-79-9 7791-13-1, hexahydrate) C0CI2 Noncombustible solid. Incompatible with bases, alkali metals, ammonia vapors oxidizers, acetylene reaction may be violent. Contact with acids or acid fumes can produce highly toxic chloride fumes. Aqueous solution is a weak acid. Incompatible with metals can cause pitting attack and stress corrosion in... [Pg.276]

C7H7CIO2S Combustible liquid (flash point 204°F/96°C oc). Reacts with moisture in air, forming/r-toluenesulfonic acid and hydrogen chloride fumes. Reacts with water, steam, forming hydrochloric acid and p-toluenesulfonic acid fumes. Violent reaction with strong bases, strong oxidizers, dimethyl sulfoxide, methyl formamide. Aqueous solution incompatible with sulfuric acid, caustics, ammonia, aliphatic amines, alkanolamines, isocyanates, alkylene oxides, epichlorohydrin. Increases the explosive sensitivity of nitromethane. [Pg.684]
