Our results are in very good agreement with Benson s simpler bond additivity values (2.5 kcal mol and —3.75 kcal mol Benson and Cohen, 1998), as indeed they must be because they were obtained from the same set of experimental enthalpies of formation. Note that many applications in themiochemishy use energy units of kilocalories per mole, where 1.000 kcal mol =4.184 kJ mol . ...

Attempts to determine the equilibrium constant for Equation (60), applying the method proposed by Fialkov [313] for an AB2 = A+2B type interaction, provided values that defy physical logic. This means that the equilibrium in Equation (60) shifts almost completely to the left, and that it is also disturbed by A + B = AB type interactions [313], which, in this case, correspond to the interaction F" + TaFs = TaF6". Due to the improbability of the presence of TaF5 in the melts, it makes more sense to attribute the TaFg ions to the equilibrium described in Equation (61), which provides an analogical effect on the additive values of the property.

Thus, for example, Matutes et al.9 show in a formal model that in basic or breakthrough innovations, protection on the basis of scope generates higher levels of welfare than period-based protection. The reason for this is that the period in which rivals can introduce applications is shorter and the patent holder can decide when to exert his or her rights. Nevertheless, it is also true that this can accelerate developments that do not generate additional value if the calculation of the reward given to the second-level innovator is excessive. The concept of the right reward for the two types of innovation is not easy to put into practice. 

Calculation of the microbial quotient can make treatment effects much more obvious. For example, in Fig. 2 the microbial quotient was greater in the row than inter-row and greater under residue return than burning, both to a depth of 30 cm. In addition, values declined with depth as soil organic matter content declined and the proportion of organic C present in labile form declined. 

Value planning described in subchapter 5.3 consolidates all values in a consistent profit and loss statement view and maximizes global profit. In addition, value planning addresses the requirements of planning future inventory values across the value chain network.
