Working Placement Service

The use of market mechanisms by outsourcing placement services to external providers through placement vouchers or via subsidised temporary work (PSA) has been implemented as a complementary option to improve efficiency and effectiveness of core employment services (Konle-Seidl 2005a). The need for more individualised services for hard-to-place unemployed persons, however, opens up broader options for contracting out employment and welfare service provision. In this sense the BA started a new pilot in July 2007 to test successful context criteria for a better involvement of private agencies. The step to a further privatisation of the German PES takes the British Employment Zones as an example. [Pg.44]

If sprinklers are required, or if the sprinkler system is to be modified, such work should only be performed by a company certified to do it. Fire extinguishers are almost always required. The number of them, their placement, and the types needed are matters to be discussed with fiire officials. Extinguishers should be regularly serviced by qualified specialists. [Pg.47]

The entire construction was accomplished without incident the conventional equipment and techniques worked as well as with Sulphlex binders as with asphalt. After 2.5 years service, at a traffic volume of 1000 ADT (10 percent trucks), distress is evident in a number of sections. In general, the distress has been primarily attributed to poor subgrade drainage placement of certain sections with mix at extremely low temperature (below 65C (150F)) ravelling of dry mixtures and lateral shifting of lifts due to the absence of adequate tack between them. None of the distress is uniquely related to the use of Sulphlex binders in lieu of asphalt cement in the pavement. [Pg.219]

In new installations, many times the valve supplier is requested to grant long warranties because the time between order placement and installation can be very long. In such cases, although the valve may have never operated, it is not unusual that once the valve is put in service, it does not work correctly. [Pg.236]

The number of penetrations made to the isolator shell should be kept to a minimum. Whenever possible, service port penetrations of the isolator floor should be avoided. Not only is it more difficult to make penetrations to the heavy plate floor, but these penetrations also take up valuable floor space in the isolator and thereby limit the placement of equipment and the amount work that can be performed in the isolator. Making the penetrations to the top or upper portions of the sides or back of the isolator is preferable whenever possible. [Pg.414]

The injury rate is calculated from samples of educational service workers from all over the country. The actual rate is calculated the same for all categories. The number of reported injuries that meet the criteria for placement on the OSHA 300 log is multiplied by 200,000, or the typical hours worked without overtime for one hundred workers in a given year, and then is divided by the number of hours actually worked. This translates then to an incident rate per one hundred employees. An injury tracked on the 300 log must meet the following criteria ... [Pg.421]

Pregnant patients cause anxiety, as staff see them infrequently and may wony they ll inadvertently harm the baby. Worries aside, this is an inqioitam window for psychiatric and antenatal care, which can improve Josie s postnatal outcomes. Work closely with her obstetric team and your nearest perinatal psychiatric service, especially around prescribing and the need for Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) placement. [Pg.435]

Service company and operator representatives should, however, always discuss and work out a mutually acceptable method of placement and/or diversion to be included in an acid treatment design. The procedure may be chosen on the basis of prior experience and examples. The remainder of this chapter is intended to provide such a basis for placement/diversion selection... [Pg.95]

In the end, no diverter is foolproof in all cases. All remain hit or miss. However, with careful consideration, investigation, and discussion, the best efforts can be realized for any well treatment. In each case, the principal service company representative and operator responsible for treatment design should work up the diverter/placement method and procedure. These should meet objectives to the mutual satisfaction of both parties. [Pg.107]
