Air type Classification of air at a specific point in its passage through an air conditioning or ventilation system, either in the duct or the space, e.g., outdoor air, supply air, treated air, recirculated air, extract air, etc.

Finally, the 3D-LogP descriptor may be used for the 3D screening of virtual molecular conformation libraries wherein the selection of candidate molecules might not only be driven by pharmacophoric but also by physicochemical constraints. Similarly, we anticipate that the 3D-LogP descriptor will also become useful for the design of chemical libraries in which the description of the conformational space is taken into account in the description of the constituent molecules. The stretching frequencies attributed to the 0-0 vibration are closely related to the structural type. Type I complexes show 0-0 stretching vibrations around 1125 cm-1 and type II around 860 cm-1. This sharp difference enables the O-O stretching frequency as measured by infrared or Raman spectroscopy to be used for structure type classification. Table 16.2.2 lists the structural data of dioxygen metal complexes. 

Prediction-set samples were then passed to the network and assigned to the nearest neuron. They are represented as superscripts in Figure 9.18. All 19 prediction-set samples were assigned to neurons that had spectra with the same class label. The validation of the self-organizing maps using these 19 prediction-set samples implies that information is contained in the Raman spectra of the plastics characteristic of sample type. Classification of the plastics by the self-organizing map was as reliable as that obtained by other methods, and more importantly, the classification was obtained without any preassumptions about the data. 

The following scheme gives a type classification with some characteristic representatives just as a classification of human character types can be illustrated by historical figures. The type is always idealized, the constitution of any substance, which actually occurs, forms a combination in which one of these types clearly predominates, however.
