With recent developments in glycobiology and glycochemistry, tumor-associated carbohydrate antigens such as cancer vaccines or immunotherapeu-tic agents have been identified and isolated [169]. Further research in this direction is also expected to provide further cues to design new anticancer agents including cancer vaccines.
