Since each comparison in the Tukey test involves only two groups, and since we have already encountered a test that compares two groups perfectly adequately (the Mest), why not simply conduct three -tests, one for each pair of groups that need to be compared ... [Pg.117]

When a compound was identified at least in most samples of a group, an analysis of variance with interaction by the General Linear Model procedure was performed to check the effect of salt content (lower and higher), sodium nitrite (presence, absence), added amino acids (control, cysteine and proline) and reaction time (7, 14 and 21 days). In the third experiment, using ethanethiol, dimethyl disulfide, and dimethyl sulfide compounds simultaneously was not as effective as live mice in luring brown tree snakes into traps (F2 33 = 0.015 Figure 2).
