Several firms recycle PVC wire and cable insulation, primarily from the telecommunications industry. It purifies the material and resells it for use in products such as car floor mats, truck mud flaps, and sound-deadening panels for cars. ...

The truck driver left the tractor, ran from the accident site in the direction the truck had coir from, and warned approaching traffic. The driver of a first arriving car stopped and tried to back up his car, but another car blocked his path. The occupants of these cars got out of their vehicles. Three occupants of nearby houses at a distance of 60 m (195 ft), near the creek and about 20 m (60 ft) below the truck, fled after hearing the crash.

Caffeine and other stimulants cannot overcome the effects of severe sleep deprivation. The National Sleep Foundation says that if you have trouble keeping your eyes focused, if you can t stop yawning, or if you can t remember driving the last few miles, you are prob-(25) ably too drowsy to drive safely. 

The City Transit supervisors have received numerous complaints over the last several weeks about buses on several routes running hot. Drivers are reminded that each route has several checkpoints at which drivers should check the time. If the bus is ahead of schedule, drivers should delay at the checkpoint until it is the proper time to leave. If traffic makes it unsafe for a driver to delay at a particular checkpoint, the driver should proceed at a reasonable speed to the next stop and hold there until the bus is back on schedule. 

Investigatory stop. When poHce have reasonably reliable information from an informant that a vehicle was transporting contraband, they may perform a stop and search. Information that is vague or indirect, however, may not be used as a pretext. A valid stop based on traffic law violations such as, a missing license plate or a lack of lights, can institute a search [42, 62]. 

The operators were afraid to use the nearby telephone to raise the alarm or to start their truck because they could be ignition sources, so they walked to the pump house, which took 15 minutes. Fifteen minutes after that, the refinery firefighters arrived and again failed to close the valves. The refinery had a well-rehearsed evacuation plan, and effort to stop nearby traffic was initiated. A local road was not closed in time and, 35 minutes after the initial release, the propane cloud was ignited by a car on the road 4,120 ft (1,250 m) away.
