Nerve agents tabun

CDF chemical disposal facility GA tabun (nerve agent)... [Pg.16]

Pralidoxime may not be fully effective against soman or tabun nerve agents. [Pg.323]

They are generally divided into the G-agents, which in the unmodified state are volatile, and the V-agents, which tend to be more persistent. Even G-agents are capable of being thickened with various substances to increase the persistence and penetration of the intact skin. The principal nerve agents are Tabun (GA), Sarin (GB), Soman (GD), and VX. [Pg.77]

This material is a precursor for some G-series, GV-series, and V-series nerve agents and is also commonly found as a decomposition product/impurity resulting from hydrolysis of Tabun (C01-A001). [Pg.65]

Nerve Agent Antidote Kit (NAAK or MARK I) consists of an atropine auto-injector (2 mg), a pralidoxime chloride auto-injector (2-Pam-Cl, 600 mg), the plastic clip joining the two injectors, and a foam case. The kit serve as a countermeasure to nerve agents, including tabun (GA), sarin (GB), soman (GD), GF, and VX. Military personnel can receive three MARK I for self/buddy aid. Possible side effects of atropine and/or 2-PAM-C1 are deemed insignificant in a nerve agent casualty. Intravenous atropine and 2-PAM-C1 can also be made available. The MARK I kit is manufactured by Survival Technology, Inc., Rockville, Maryland. [Pg.67]

There are seven sites in the United States where U.S. Unitary Chemical Stockpile exists. Below they are listed by chemical weapon as follows GB, sarin H, mustard HD, mustard HT, mustard VX, persistent nerve agent GA, tabun L, lewisite TGA, thickened tabun TGB, thickened sarin. [Pg.108]

Guides for Emergency Response Chemical Agent or Weapon Nerve Agent Tabun (GA)... [Pg.275]

Do not breath fumes skin contact with nerve agents should always be avoided contact with liquid tabun or vapors can kill responders. Use water mist, fog, foam, or CO-2 to fight the fire do NOT splash or spread sarin. [Pg.280]

C.A.S. Registration Number Chemical Abstracts Service. An assigned number used to identify a material. CAS numbers identify specific chemicals and are assigned sequentially the number is a concise, unique means of material identification. A product of more than one component will have a specific number for each component (i.e., the CAS for lethal nerve agent GA, or tabun, is 77-81-9 while the CAS for the liquid nerve agent GB, or sarin, is 107-44-8, and 50.642-23-4). [Pg.300]

Chemical Agent GA The chemical Ethyl N, N-dimethylphosphoramidocyanidate (CAS 77-81-6) also known as tabun, is a nerve agent. [Pg.301]

GB Sarin, a nerve agent, more toxic than tabun or soman. [Pg.313]

G-Series Nerve Agents A series of nerve agents developed by the Germans tabun (GA), sarin (GB), and soman (GD). [Pg.314]

Nerve Agent Substances that interfere with the central nervous system. Organic esters of phosphoric acid used as a chemical warfare agent because of their extreme toxicity (tabun-GA, sarin-GB, soman-GD, GF, and VX). All are potent inhibitors of the enzyme, acetylcholinesterase, which is responsible for the degradation of the neurotransmitter, acetylcholine in neuronal synapses or myoneural junctions. Nerve agents are readily absorbed by inhalation and/or through intact skin. [Pg.325]
