The Credit Support Annexe (CSA) side agreement to the standard ISDA derivatives agreement often allows counterparties to a derivative to post collateral in the form of cash in a different denomination to the currency of the trade. As a result, banks now construct multicurrency yield curves to assist them with the funding decision when paying or receiving collateral.

A.503. The chapter shall start with a summary of the functional, technical and operational characteristics of the reactor. Drawings, flow sheets and tables should be provided for illustration and support. Annex III presents items which should be considered in the description. The description shall indicate the dependent and interrelated safety functions of the main reactor components. 

All testing to support notification must be performed by methods specified in Annex V to Directive 79/831/EEC and in accordance with the principles of good laboratory practice (GLP). GLP is concerned with the organizational processes and conditions under which laboratory studies are planned, performed, monitored, recorded and reported. 

The CTD format has been incorporated into the E U regulations and is set out in the revised version of Annex I to directive 2001/82/EC, which was published as Commission Directive 2003/63/EC. It is also supported by detailed guidance in the Rules Governing Medicinal Products in the European Union, Volume 2B - Presentation and content of the dossier - CTD2001 edition. The relationship between the CTD format and the previous four-section format that was used in the E U is shown in Table 6.1.

With respect to development pharmaceutics data, the requirements stated in Directive 75/318/EEC (as amended) are included in the Annex to that document at Part 2 A 4 (page 20 of the Rules Governing Medicinal Products in the European Union, Volume 1, Pharmaceutical Legislation Medicinal Products for Human Use). With respect to the general requirement for pharmaceutical products this states 4.1 An explanation should be provided with regard to the choice of composition, constituents and container and the intended function of the excipients in the finished product. This explanation shall be supported by scientific data on development pharmaceutics. The overage, with justification thereof, should be stated. This, then, is the legal requirement. A major world economic power, Japan is a leading Annex I member of Kyoto, committed to cutting emissions. It feels an attachment to the protocol, named after the Japanese city where it was concluded. It recognises the argument that its economy could gain from seeing the treaty in force, as Japanese companies could capture markets for new, clean technology. But Japan is very reluctant to ratify Kyoto unless the Americans do so as well. Without Japanese ratification the protocol is very unlikely to attract the support it needs to become international law.

Chapters 11-13 cover the selection and sizing of downstream disposal systems, reaction forces which require piping and vessel supports, maintenance, documentation and change management. Additional material is given in Annexes 1-8 and is referenced from the,text as required. This includes consideration of any safety factor to be applied to the calculated relief size.

The PED annexes below give the references to support this table. 

To support the PED, many European (EN) standards are now harmonised with the PED. The PED has been introduced as the pressure vessel code in each and every country of the European Union. Likewise, the new EN standards have been introduced and they replace all the local standards. For example, the standard for safety valves, EN 4126, is now the German standard DIN EN 4126, or the French standard NF EN 4126, etc... This harmonised standard has an annex (called Annex ZA ) that lists the paragraphs which address the requirements of the PED. By following these harmonised standards, one is sure therefore to comply with the PED clauses supported by the paragraphs listed in the Annex ZA. (However, we may need to follow several harmonised standards to cover all the possibilities )... 

Other of such standards which are useful are the EN 764-7 and EN 12952-10 Water-tube boilers and auxiliary installations - Requirements for safeguards against excessive pressure. Although its Annex ZA shows that it supports the PED clauses 2.11 and 7.3, this standard does not give any indication on the set pressure and the overpressure of the Safety Relief Valves, in which case one can refer back to the above. 

Compliance with the requirements of Directive 2001/20/EC is important. This is because Annex I to Directive 2001/83/EC (as amended) expressly requires that for the purpose of obtaining a marketing authorization, all clinical trials conducted within the European Union to comply with Directive 2001/20/EC. For clinical trials conducted outside the European Union and the data of which are used in support of an application for a marketing authorization, such clinical trials must be designed, implemented, and reported on the basis of principles that are equivalent to the provisions of Directive 2001/20/ EC and carried out in accordance with the ethical principles that are reflected in the Declaration of Helsinki. 

In cases where facilities or areas of an inspected State Party are located on the territory of a Host State Party. .., the inspected State Party shall exercise the rights and fulfil the obligations concerning such inspections in accordance with this Annex. The Host State Party shall facilitate the inspection of those facihties or areas and shall provide for the necessary support to enable the inspection team to carry out its tasks in a timely and effective manner.
