Subject synergistic effect

In considering these tests it should be remembered that the phenomenon of cavitation-erosion is often accompained by corrosion effects and that a synergistic effect may operate between the mechanically and chemically induced forms of attack. In fact the term cavitation-erosion-corrosion may often be more applicable in describing the requirements of a test procedure. The subject has recently been discussed by Wood etal. °. 

This excellent regiocontrol was exploited by subjecting terminal alkenes and hydroxyalkynoates to ruthenium catalysis conditions to afford butenolides and pentenolides (Equation (23)).36 The Alder-ene reaction occurs preferentially to form the G-G bond at the alpha-carbon of the alkynoate. The unusually high regioselectivity is attributed to a synergistic effect derived from an enhanced coordination of the hydroxyl group to the ruthenium.

Effects of the Four Taste Substances. The concentration of MSG equivalent in the umami intensity to an MSG-IMP mixture (point of subjective equality) was determined both in pure water and in the four taste solutions. The results are shown in Table V. The equi-umami concentration of MSG obtained in the presence of each of the four taste substances was almost the same as that in pure water. Thus the synergistic effects of umami substances were seen to be unaffected by the four taste substances. 

Similarly, Schmid-Elsaesser et al. (7) reported a synergistic effect of hypothermia when added to therapy with either tirilizad or magnesium (Mg). In this study, rats were subjected to transient ischemia of 90 min duration using a suture occlusion model. Hypothermia was administered intraischemically and animals were rewarmed simultaneous with reperfusion. Subjects were treated with various combinations of the three agents, in a systematic fashion. A stepwise increase in the reduction in infarct volume was observed between Tirilizad + Mg, hypothermia alone, and hypothermia + tirilizad + Mg in combination. 

The synergistic effect of umami substances is exceptional. The subjective taste intensity of a blend of monosodium glutamate and disodium 5 -inosinate was found to be 16 times stronger than that of the glutamate by itself at the same total concentration (Yamaguchi 1979). 

The type of solvent to be used and synergistic effects on the US-assisted cleaning of metal surfaces depend greatly on the target surface and the subsequent treatment to which the clean surface is to be subjected. 

Nylon fibers are used extensively in outdoor textiles and as a result are subject to sunlight, varying temperatures and acid precipitation. The degradation of nylon by light, heat, humidity and air polluted with sulfur dioxide has been widely studied (8-13). However, little data is available on the effect of aqueous acid on nylon in the presence of heat, light and moisture (i.e. acid rain conditions). Therefore, the purpose of this work was to determine the effect of acid rain conditions on nylon. The synergistic effects of aqueous acid, light and heat on nylon were also examined. 

Coatings exposed to sunlight for extended periods are also subjected to degradation. Combinations of HALS and ultraviolet light absorbers (UVAs) are used to obtain a synergistic effect. A 1 1 combination of a UVA of the benzotriazole class with HALS has been used [13], Figures 4.7 and 4.8 show the benzotriazole and HALS combination. 

GABA-rich Chlorella contains GABA, which shows a hypotensive effect associated with the blockade of sympathetic ganglia and hypotensive components such as nucleic acids and proteins in Chlorella cells. Therefore, GABA-rich Chlorella is expected to show a synergistic effect on SHRSP or hypertensive subjects.
