Eor some appHcations the powder is suspended in an aqueous medium or a solvent with the help of emulsifying agents and then sprayed onto the substrate. The powder is also used as a filler to prepare sprayable compositions of PTEE dispersions, which then can be used to coat various substrates (36). 

Because most latices have low viscosities by compounding, most of the waterborne rubber adhesives are sprayable. Thickeners such as fumed silicas can be added to increase viscosity and thixotropy. This means that even at relatively large viscosities (over 10 Pas) many water-based rubber adhesives can be sprayed. Dip and curtain applications require viscosities between 0.05 and 0.3 Pas, whereas brush application works with viscosities between 1 and 50 Pa s. 

Polychloroprene elastomer. Neoprene AC and AD are the most commonly used, mainly Neoprene AD because of its superior viscosity stability. For difficult-to-bond substrates, graft polymers Neoprene AD-G or AF) show better performance. For sprayable adhesives or high-viscosity mastics, the Neoprene AG offers excellent results. When specific properties (e.g. increase tack, improve wetting, increase peel strength) need to be met, blends of Neoprene AC or AD with Neoprene AG provide adequate performance.

The amount and types of solvent will depend on the requirements to VOC and the type of polymer (binder) to be dissolved in the paint. Another important parameter is the sprayability of the paint which also depends on the type and amount of solvents. 

Two-part sprayable polyurethanes are used in the production of chemical-resistant paints and coatings. The polyurethanes can be let down in some solvent to ease in the spraying. Polyureas are becoming important in this section of the market because of their very fast cure rates. 

Of these groups, the castable, thermoplastic, and sprayable polyurethanes have the greatest abrasive and erosive wear resistance. 

The castable and sprayable polyurethanes are commercially the most popular. They are easier to process, and parts can be made with an initially low capital expenditure. 

Long before Bt crops were developed, Bt toxins in sprayable formulations were used to control insects. This fact allowed the EPA and FDA to consider twenty years of human exposure in assessing human safety before agreeing to register Bt corn for commercial use. In addition to these data, numerous toxicity and allergenicity tests were conducted on many different kinds of naturally occurring Bt toxins. The first plot received 500 g.a.i./h of displarlure as NCR gelatin-walled microcapsules containing 2% ai. The formulation, applied as an aqueous suspension, also contained 1 of sticker to aid adhesion of the formulation to foliage. The second plot received 500 g./h. as Herculite Corporation sprayable laminate flakes containing 9.1 ai. The flakes consisted of two layers of vinyl, each 0.08 mm thick on both sides of a central porous layer containing the disparlure the surface area of the flakes was between 7 and 35 mm2 per side. The same sticker as that in the microcapsules was used. Sulfur is used directly in sulfur-additive solutions which are used as coatings (3, 4, 5, 6). Dicyclopentadiene is a potentially cheap material that can form copolymers with liquid sulfur.
