Software commenting

The internal documentation is based on the source code as documentation. Each program should have a standardized header of the following form  

It is planned to define a FORTRAN subroutine package consistent with the schema defined in 5. The CAD I reference model specification on page 43 This package should allow reading and writing from and to data bases as well as from and to neutral files. The GKS FORTRAN binding is to be used as a reference for this approach. 

The following is a list of the necessary constituents of such a binding. 

1 MAPPING OF HDSL DATA TYPES ONTO FORTRAN 

The data types used in the reference schema definition have to be mapped onto FORTRAN capabilities. For example, the representation of STRUCTURE, LIST, IDENTIFIER, REFERENCE, and the others must be defined in terms of INTEGER, REAL, ARRAY etc..

A Comment about Power Supply Design Software... 

With software the verification status can be denoted in the software as a comment or on records testifying its conformance with requirements. 

Comment The sequence of digits in each coefficient depends on the precision (e.g., three decimal places) and number of tabulated values (34, 50, or 64), the form of the optimization software used (Hewlett Packard HP71B Curve Fit Module), and the number of coefficients chosen (3. .. 8). Discrepancies between the approximated and the real table entries of up to j-LSD could be due either to insufficiencies of the algorithm or the rounding of table entries. The few LRR that are above 1% do not pose a risk for practical applications.

It is now possible for most students to purchase a basic computer system ai low cost. If a personal computer is not in the budget, most colleges and universities provide students access to campus-wide computer systems as part of tuition and fees. By this point in your studies, you are familiar with the use of a computer, but a few introductory comments are made just to help you get started with computing in the biochemistry laboratory. In terms of equipment, you will need a computer, monitor, printer, and some basic software. Some recommendations for specific hardware and software will be given here, but one must be aware that new products and important upgrades are continually being developed.
