A list of major OAII components includes the joint U.S./Japan Cruise, the Western Arctic Mooring project, and the Northeast Water Polynya project (mentioned above). Among other OAII projects the most notable are the U.S./Canada Arctic Ocean Section and the Surface Heat Budget of the Arctic Ocean (SHEBA) project. 

In connection with the SHEBA project, the U.S. Department of Energy s Atmosphere Radiation Measurement (ARM) program indicated its intention to develop a Cloud and Radiation Testbed (CART) facility on the North Slope of Alaska. The principal focus of this program will be on atmospheric radiative transport, especially as modified by clouds (such transport impacts the growth and decay of sea ice), as well as testing, validation, and comparison of radiation transfer models in both the ice pack and Arctic coastal environment. 

And when the Queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, concerning the name of the Lord, she came to prove him with hard questions. And she cam to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold., and precious stones". 

Sheba" means simply "Seven," so this Queen of Seven is said to come up from Ethiopia, the Land of Darkness, to meet Solomon, the Sun. Ordinarily this version would be more meaningless than the historical narrative, but it is these ulterior facts that throw a flood of light on the real nature of the "royal" personages involved, as we shall see. (N. B. Solomon is the son of DVD, "love" and Bath-Sheba, "Daughter of Seven." His mother and the Queen are both related to Malkuth which sums up the final septenary of the Sephiroth, since the latter are divided into a Supernal Triad and seven emanations therefrom). 

The tale is simply a traditional folk-lore story, founded on some peculiar natural phenomena, observed by some ancient priest in previous ages, and relates to the quick intimacy exhibited by the two Master Principles of creation when they are brought together, for Solomon is simply a personification of our Sulphur (still called "Sol"), while the Queen is Mercury (or Luna). She is Queen of Seven, because all phenomena in the "Castle," or Vase of Art, recur in cycles of seven days, thus establishing the law for the creation of the earth and the "Sabba-th" (Saba and Sheba mean the same), as detailed in Genesis. 

At this point, Sheba, having her every wish gratified, turned about and went to her own country. This is the point in the work where the male triumphs over the female and eclipses her. She for the time being disappears, and Solomon, or Sol, goes on making the most wonderful lot of gold. See verses 14, 16, 17, 18, 22, 25. 

In Revelation we read "He that overcometh will I give the morning star." This "star" is SOL, perfected by LUNA, -Solomon by the Queen of Sheba. This bright morning star is the same as that which announced the birth of Christ to the shepherds. It is Venus, or Love, the "fulfillment of all," as Christ himself declared. This star is fundamentally the Sulphur (Sol) of the Sages, and it reaches the state (plane, or planet) of Venus (Copper) just AFTER the White Work, and from this one goes on to Gold. 

Abraham planted at Beer-Sheba ("wheel of the covenant, or of Seven=BVR-ShBOH=585=ALHIM TzBAVTh, the Divine Name of HOD) and of APRIM, the tribe corresponding to TAURUS.

In Exodus, God gives Moses instructions for a holy perfume for himself, and a different one for his priests, whilst the Queen of Sheba s visit to Solomon was motivated by her wish to keep open the trade routes of the Arabian peninsula, her source of frankincense and myrrh, through Palestine to Egypt and Mesopotamia. 

They were, however, used by the English forces in the war agaiQjit The< ore, king of Abyssinia,— a lineal descendant, according to the tradition of his country, of the Queen of Sheba.

Much has been made of this song because of seven references to Solomon in the Hebrew text. These references skew the interpretation of the Song to a love between Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Yet, the Solomonic verses are coarse in comparison with the sensitive poetry of the Song and an ill fit with the tenor of the main verse. The new lines talk not of pure philosophical and carnal love between man and woman but... 

King Solomon is also reputed to have written a book about the Philosophers Stone called HaMa en or The Compass He writes of obtaining the Philosophers Stone from the Queen of Sheba, who had previously received it from her husband Seman." Seman was a great sage amongst the Copt or Nabateans. In Chapter 8, we shall have more to say about the Nabateans as an integral link between the Sabians of Yemen and the Sabians of Harran. 

Charles Gounod s La Reine de Saba The Queen of Sheba) a creation in the Opera, on 28 February 1862 builds on an alternative history that directly connects Tubal-Cain with the legend of Hiram Abiff. It is based on a Rosicrucian legend reported by Gerard de Nerval Three jealous workers disrupt Hiram casting his masterpiece, the monumental bowl called the Molten or Brazen Sea. Tubal-Cain visits... 

At the time of Abraham there reigned Shabib (Sheba), the wife of Sinn, priestess of the mountain, who built Nisib and Edessa (Ur) and surrounded them with walls. She founded also the sanctuary of Harran, and made on idol of gold, called Sinn. 

From a Biblicallament for the city of Tyre, we know that both Harran and Saba or Sheba traded in similar goods °°... 

Harran, Canneh and Eden and merchants of Sheba, Asshur and Kilmad traded with you. In your marketplaces they traded with you beautiful garments, blue fabric, embroidered work and multicolored rugs with cords twisted and tightly knotted.
