Rigging devices

Specific Pump Types (Continued) Is a rigging device required to facilitate removal and installation of the back pullout assembly Yes No... [Pg.171]

A511 Rigging device for type OH3 pump RIG OHB c 1 1 ryes (true) Or no (false)... [Pg.192]

Ensure safe attachment of rigging devices, such as shackles, hooks, eyebolts, spreader beams and slings, wedge socket, and wire rope clips. [Pg.118]

Other rigging devices, such as hooks, various cables, and types of cranes, can be found in the following recommended sources ... [Pg.188]

The horizontal plate filter requires attention on a regular basis to safety devices and automation features that accompany modern filters. The space above the filter should have a hoisting device and sufficient headroom to lift the entire disc stack and move it horizontally to a location adjacent to the filter tank. It is recommended to have a special rig that will hold the plate stack for maintenance since the bigger ones may reach a length 3 meters or more. Space must also be allocated for the cover which may be either if it is hinged or removed. [Pg.196]

Surface readout A device on the rig floor to indicate the subsurface position of the tool. [Pg.1081]

This simple item provides perhaps the best and easiest method of firing a charge electrically by means of a pull wire. It may be rigged so the target trips the wire or it may be controlled by the operator from a safe distance. It is an excellent device to use with bazooka rockets against trucks, tanks, or locomotives. [Pg.15]

This technique provides a method of initiating primacord—-and thus any explosive charge—if a regular blasting cap is not available. The device may be rigged as a booby trap with trip wire or it can be fired remotely by the operator. Since the technique does require the destruction of a usable rifle it likely would be used only when there is no other alternative. In addition, care should be taken in all phases of the preparation, because when the weapon is fired it will break into many fragments which would severely injure anyone holding the weapon or close to it. [Pg.19]

This can include X-ray devices and drum wheel test rigs. [Pg.204]

Laboratory furnaces. Several types of furnaces are used in the laboratory these are often available as commercial rigs, generally equipped with more or less sophisticated temperature measurement and control devices. As an alternative, a lab-made or commercial furnace and its temperature measuring devices may be connected to a multi-channel data acquisition/actuator/switch unit, to be programmed by a personal computer, in order to plan and carry out thermal treatments, to collect and retrieve measured thermal data, etc. [Pg.532]

Pkimps shall be designed to fadhtate removal and installation of the back pnllont assembly. When specified, a device shall be provided which allows direct rigging or lifting of the back pnllont assembly from ontside the motor support. [Pg.57]

Recent developments in fibre optics have made it possible to measure the spectrum in any kind of vessel, including any which form part of a vacuum apparatus, so that the problem of fitting a cell which is part of a vacuum rig into a spectrophotometer is now effectively obsolete. However, for single or occasional measurements the devices discussed here are simpler and very much cheaper than fibre-optic gadgetry. [Pg.96]

The device is mounted and screwed using seals on a multi-plate rig on which the mixing device is located [67]. [Pg.108]

Reactive filters for the removal of reactive solids (i.e., diesel soot) have already passed through the test rig state. For the reactive filtration of diesel soot, industrially manufactured devices are available, but improved reaction kinetics and models predicting accurately the loading and regeneration cycles are yet to be produced. [Pg.450]
