Restriction site limitations

Data to assess the compatibility of results provided by independent sampling are more restricted, being limited to just two samples per annum from three sites (Cardiff, Dungeness and Heysham). In addition, interpretation of the available results is complicated by the fact that activity concentrations in these samples were veiy low in comparison to the other sampling sites. More specifically, concentrations of Co and Am were below detection, in all but the Fucus Vesiculosus (seaweed) samples obtained... 

As most of the acid sites are located in pores of molecular size the rate and the selectivity of catalytic reactions depend not only on the intrinsic properties of the sites but also on the pore structure. A zeolite catalyst selects the reactant or the product by their ability to diffuse to and from the active sites (reactant and product selectivity). Steric constraints in the environment of the sites limit or inhibit the formation of intermediates or transition states (restricted transition state selectivity) [24,25]. The strong polarizing interaction between zeolite crystallites and adsorbed molecules leads to an unusually high concentration of the reactants in the pores. This concentration effect causes an enhancement of the rates of bimolecular reaction steps over monomolecular reaction steps [26]. 

The team must be fuUy cognizant of restrictions and limitations (e.g., pollution controls or energy consumption) placed on parcels of land by governmental bodies before making lasting decisions. Through the careful processes of distribution network analysis, site evaluation and negotiation, companies can select a site that offers flexibility, versatility, and utility for many years.

The global acceptance criterion for DBAs should be either no off-site radiological impact or only minor radiological impact outside the exclusion area. The definition of minor radiological impact should be set by the regulatory body, but typically corresponds to very restrictive dose limits in order to exclude the need for off-site emergency actions. 

A5. Does the site compare sampling results to the minimum exposure limits or are more restrictive exposure limits (PELs, TLVs, etc.) used ... 

Your letter lists four subjects included in the lUOE Locai s PIT training, and you ask if construction employers are required to provide any additional training for employees. Your list did not include training in the standard itself, as required in 1910.178(l)(3)(iii). In addition, employers may need to ensure that additional training on site-specific or truck-specific matters is provided. One such example might be instruction on the safe operation of trucks with specialized attachments so that the operator understands the restrictions and limitations of the vehicle with those attachments. However, if the employee already has been trained to operate with those attachments, then the employer need not duplicate that training.
