Excellent pre-image life in the coating formulations, i.e., no or little premature polymerization initiation. This may well be because the very large dimer molecule is not very mobile in the coating matrix, and if some cleavage occurs, the formed radicals may recombine. Naturally, the choice of proper substituent in the 2-o-phenyl position influences this.
