Pump Spray

Absorber is a component where strong absorber solution is used to absorb the water vapor flashed in the evaporator. A solution pump sprays the lithium bromide over the absorber tube section. Cool water is passing through the tubes taking refrigeration load, heat of dilution, heat to cool condensed water, and sensible heat for solution coohng.

For aerosol products, the eye should be held open and the substance administered in a single, 1-s burst at a distance of about 4 inches directly in front of the eye. The velocity of the ejected material should not traumatize the eye. The dose should be approximated by weighing the aerosol can before and after each treatment. For other liquids propelled under pressure, such as substances delivered by pump sprays, an aliquot of 0.01 ml should be collected and instilled in the eye as for liquids. 

A test to assess pump-to-pump reproducibility in terms of drug product performance and to evaluate the delivery from the pump should be performed. The proper performance of the pump should be ensured primarily by the pump manufacturer, who should assemble the pump with parts of precise dimensions. Most of these formulations can be applied easily by brushing or pump-spraying and do not run on a vertical surface. 

Combine Part A and heat to 65C. Combine Part B and heat to 70C. Combine Part A and Part 8 with stirring. Package into containers to be used as a pump spray. 

Liquid soap or detergent, measuring spoons, pump-spray bottles, plants infested with household or garden insect pests such as houseflies or aphids...

Mix the Liquid Citric Acid-50% with an equal volume of water. Slowly add the ammonium hydroxide solution. The neutralization should be done cautiously and under agitation, as the reaction is exothermic. Add Cellosolve, surfactant, remaining water, fragrance and dye. The formula is suitable for a pump spray. Bathtub, sinks, faucets and other hard surfaces should be sprayed from a distance of about 10 inches. For maximum effectiveness, the deposited cleaner fluid should be left at work for at least five minutes and then rinsed off with water or removed with a wet cloth or sponge. 

This formula is suitable for pump spray application. It can be used on shower tiles and like surfaces. 

Both of these formulations can be applied to tissue by pouring or spraying on wounds. Both formulations are particularly conducive for pressure-spray or pump-spray applications. They both form continuous impermeable films over moist tissue, are water-proof after application, have long shelf stability, and are biocompatible. The siloxane-based material appears to have no stinging effect on excised tissue, and it does possess a very low surface energy that is difficult for environmental contamination and bacteria to attach. These materials are inexpensive compared to cyanoacrylates. 

To test a chemical contained in a pressurized aerosol container, the eye should be held open and the test chemical administered in a single burst of about 1 second from a distance of 10 cm directly in front of the eye. The dose may be estimated by weighing the container before and after use. Care should be taken not to damage the eye. Pump sprays should not be used but instead, the liquid should be expelled and 0.1 mL collected and instillated into the eye as described for liquids.

Retail release agents for home use are marketed as aerosols and occasionally as pump sprays. In this setting, the release agent will be used for everything from simple release tasks like pancakes and fried eggs to more challenging systems like cakes or muffins. Consequently, retail products are formulated with relatively high levels of lecithin to provide extra release for difhcult applications.
