Programming project details

Once the objectives have been established, then it is necessary to develop programs or projects to support each objective. Describe the program in detail, indicate its purpose, define responsibility, establish a schedule, and estimate the money, manpower, and material requirements. 

The business planning process must include an analysis of both the costs that will be incurred to provide the service and the financial benefits that may occur as a result of the program. Furthermore, the principle NRC rules for the content of a QA program are detailed in 10 CFR 50 Appendix B. These criteria are the bases for, and essentially equivalent to, the basic requirements of ASME/NQA-1, Quality Assurance Requirements. Once you have developed the program plan and schedule, and estimated resource requirements, you should organize this information in a manageable form for presentation to your PSM sponsor. If you have kept management informed about your progress you should have a clear idea of what is expected in terms of form, content, and level of detail. A sample table of contents for a project plan appears as Figure 5-12, and Figures 5-13 and 5.14 provide additional detail on selected portions of the plan. 

Most detailed programs for plant-related projects are prepared using simple critical path analysis (CPA) techniques. Frequent updates and reports will ensure that surprises are kept to a minimum and allow smooth progress of the project towards completion. Should problems occur in the project at any time, the modern planning systems allow rapid changes to the logic or task details and the consequent update to the project program. 

In the United States, the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) promoted in 1992 the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) program to develop a DMFC for portable and mobile applications. Several institutions are involved (IFC, JPL, LANE, Giner, Inc.) and small stacks (up to 10 elementary cells) were built by IFC and JPL. The performances are quite encouraging, with power densities of 250 mW/cm at 0.5 V. More details are given in Section V.2. 

The currently available quantum chemical computational methods and computer programs have not been utilized to their potential in elucidating the electronic origin of zeolite properties. As more and more physico-chemical methods are used successfully for the description and characterization of zeolites, (e.g. (42-45)), more questions will also arise where computational quantum chemistry may have a useful contribution towards the answer, e.g. in connection with combined approaches where zeolites and metal-metal bonded systems (e.g. (46,47)) are used in combination. The spectacular recent and projected future improvements in computer technology are bound to enlarge the scope of quantum chemical studies on zeolites. Detailed studies on optimum intercavity locations for a variety of molecules, and calculations on conformation analysis and reaction mechanism in zeolite cavities are among the promises what an extrapolation of current developments in computational quantum chemistry and computer technology holds out for zeolite chemistry. 

In other ways expert systems programming is much different. Traditional principles of specification and organization are tested, in part, because the program undergoes evolutionary and sometimes revolutionary revisions as an understanding of the problem domain grows. Despite early detailed specification, the tendency of the specification and the project to evolve toward its final definition seems to be unavoidable. 

Many other unwitting citizens from all walks of life, including government employees, were targets of covert LSD administration, often carried out without a systematic protocol.
