Standard professional community

Any activities of a company in relation to its trade display must be able successfully to withstand public and professional scrutiny, and conform to professional and community standards of ethics and good taste. 

Writing clearly is critical to employment and production in today s world. Individuals must be capable of writing for a variety of audiences in differing styles, including standard rhetoric themes, business letters and reports, financial proposals, e-mails, and technical and professional communications. Students should also be able to use computers to enhance their writing proficiency and improve career opportunities as well as writing pleasure. 

Originally, the principal audience for MSDSs comprised health and safety professionals (who are responsible for formulating safe workplace practices), medical personnel (who direct medical surveillance programs and treat exposed workers), and emergency responders (e.g., fire department personnel). With the promulgation of federal laws such as the Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) and the OSHA Laboratory Standard (29 CFR 1910.1450), the audience for MSDSs has been expanded to include laboratory workers in industrial and academic laboratories. However, not all MSDSs are written to meet the requirements of this new audience effectively. 

If not, this patient will probably not visit him again because of his decision. If yes, the pharmacist prepares and sells a product that does not meet the medication and therapy standards of local Health Care Professional Communities. Those standards are in general considered as absolute truth worthy and claimed to be valid for the entire patient population. However, an individual patient may belong to a specific sub-population not categorised yet and may benefit from such a product. Again, risk assessment including clinical need (see Sect. 2.2) is expected from the pharmaceutical professional but keeping in mind that the physician has the final decision to prescribe medicines to patients. 

To recognize occupational factors or stresses, a health and safety professional must first know about the chemicals used as raw materials and the nature of the products and by-products manufactured. This sometimes requires great effort. The required information can be obtained from the material safety data sheet (MSDS), which must be supplied by the chanical manufacturer or importer to the purchaser for all hazardous materials under the hazard conununication standard. The MSDS is a summary of the important health, safety, and toxicological information on the chanical or the mixture ingredients. Other stipulations of the hazard communication standard require that all containers of hazardous substances in the workplace be labeled with appropriate warning and identification labels. If the MSDS or the label does not give complete information but only trade names, it may be necessary to contact the mannfacturer of the chemicals to obtain this information. 

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has a 30-year history of involvement with process safety for chemical processing plants. Through its strong ties with process designers, builders, operators, safety professionals and academia, the AIChE has enhanced communication and fostered improvement in the high safety standards of the industry. AIChE publications and symposia have become an information resource for the chemical engineering profession on the causes of accidents and means of prevention. 

NCCLS, National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards provides a medium for communication among professionals in healthcare, government, and industry in developing guidelines for clinical laboratory practices. 

A point to note is that different medical systems such as traditional Chinese medicine. Ayurvedic medicine, and traditional African medicine and homeopathic medicine have different standards by which they judge adverse reactions, as compared with Western allopathic medicine. This may lead to controversy and confusion amongst patients and health professionals alike communications must take this into account.
