Primary Treatment Processes

Primary or pretreatment of wastewater can involve either physical or chemical treatment, depending on the nature of the contamination, and serves three purposes  [Pg.585]

The pretreatment processes may be most effective when applied to individual waste streams from particular processes or process steps before effluent streams are combined for biological treatment. [Pg.585]
