Pick days

Shipping. Bulk milk is hauled to the processing plant in insulated tanks using tmck tanks or trader tankers. The milk is transferred from the bulk tank to the tanker with a positive or centrifugal-type pump. For routes of some distance, pick-up every other day reduces handling costs. 

Salt apphed as equal parts of unionised sodium chloride and calcium chloride at 20 g total per L for 1 h, three times a week, has also been used to control fungal infections on eggs. The salt combination is first appHed one day after fertilisation to the first pick of eggs. These compounds are categorized as generally recognized as safe (GRAS). 

In the wet method, as practiced in Colombia, freshly picked ripe coffee cherries are fed into a tank for initial washing. Stones and other foreign material are removed. The cherries are then transferred to depulping machines which remove the outer skin and most of the pulp. However, some pulp mucilage clings to the parchment shells that encase the coffee beans. Fermentation tanks, usually containing water, remove the last portions of the pulp. Fermentation may last from twelve hours to several days. Because prolonged fermentation may cause development of undesirable flavors and odors in the beans, some operators use enzymes to accelerate the process. 

These mechanisms can be observed in many common situations. For example, fog via mixing can be seen in the discharge of breath on a cold day. Fog via adiabatic expansion can be seen in the low-pressure area over the wing of an airplane landing on a humid summer day and fog via condensation can be seen in the exhaust from an automobile air conditioner (if you follow closely enough behind another car to pick up the ions or NO molecules needed for nucleation). All of these occur at a veiy low supersaturation and appear to be keyed to an abundance of foreign nuclei. All of these fogs also quickly dissipate as heat or unsaturated gas is added. 

Staeking faults and sometimes proper polytypism are found in many inorganic compounds - to pick out just a few, zinc sulphide, zinc oxide, beryllium oxide. Interest in these faults arises from the present-day focus on electron theory of phase stability, and on eomputer simulation of lattice faults of all kinds investigators are attempting to relate staeking-fault concentration on various measurable character-isties of the compounds in question, such as ionicity , and thereby to cast light on the eleetronic strueture and phase stability of the two rival structures that give rise to the faults.

For Walter Gratzer (a regular contributor to Nature), serendipity is not that when you drop your buttered toast on the floor that it falls, as it invariably does, buttered side down, but that when you pick it up you discover the contact lens that you lost a few days earlier.
