Monitoring performance

If the consolidation center works as a trading company, it needs to monitor the suppliers delivery performance in terms of shortage history, on-time delivery, lead hme, flexibility with respect to volume changes, and so forth.

All testing to support notification must be performed by methods specified in Annex V to Directive 79/831/EEC and in accordance with the principles of good laboratory practice (GLP). When targets are not met you should investigate the cause under the corrective action procedures and formulate corrective action plans. Where the cause is found to be a failure of the customer to supply some vital information or equipment, it would be prudent not to wait for the periodic analysis but to react promptly.

Note that good laboratory practice (glp) should not be confused with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
