An initial experiment involved determination of Arapahoe Smoke Chamber results for samples with and without the zinc coating present. Data are presented in Table II. Depending upon orientation of the sample, an increase in char occurred for some samples with zinc present, while no change in smoke formation was seen. Initial pyrolysis GC/mass spectroscopy results at 90CPC in helium showed no difference in volatiles formed with or without zinc. These results suggested enhanced char formation as the origin of the Radiant Panel results for zinc on modified-polyphenylene oxide (m-PPO). Zinc oxide is a known, effective thermal stabilizer in the alloy. The next work then focused on DSC/TGA studies. [Pg.313]

FCOJ. Proper reconstitution of FCOJ is essential for valid taste panel results. Since orange juice flavor is of a rather delicate, mild, or light type, the water source used to reconstitute the concentrate must be relatively free of off-flavors, such as sulfurous. Distilled water should be used whenever practical. In addition, if the water used for reconstitution is placed in a refrigerator, walk-in cooler, etc. for chilling, care must be taken to have the water container covered securely to eliminate possible absorption of foreign flavors. And, of course, the reconstituted product itself, if being chilled prior to tasting, should be protected. [Pg.324]

It is important to realize that a thermosetting polymer reacted to high (but not full) conversion contains a small fraction of free monomers if the monomers are volatile, their emissions may produce forbidden contamination levels, particularly for indoor applications. Other applications include the use of the intervention definition in projects incorporating evaluation of clinical pharmacists activities. SHPA recently completed a prospective multicenter study of pharmacist-initiated changes to drug therapy and patient management in acute care government-funded hospitals in Australia. This was a prospective study performed in eight hospitals to examine resource implications of pharmacists interventions and was assessed by an independent, multidisciplinary clinical panel. Thin section panel results. The results of the thin section panel evaluation are presented Table 3. Trial mixes PINR and PINT offered very similar workability and mesh bond characteristics. The difference in mesh concrete bond can be seen in Fig. 5 which compares the bond between the mesh and mix PINT with that of the control mix CL. The trial mixes PINR and PlNl gave the best all round balance between workability and finish. As can be seen from Table 3, the trial mix P2NL may suit an extrusion process very well. This possibility was identified during the construction of the thin section panel specimens and will require further research. During the application of the mix mortar it was noticed that additional trowel pressure gave the mortar a putty like appearance which also served to improve the surface finishes of the manufactured specimen. [Pg.136]

A more recent application for formulations containing tiie aqueous developed conductors is the production of displays such as plasma high-definition television panels. The line resolution and placement accuracy of the photocurable pastes in this application can be used to generate more pixels per square xmit of panel, resulting in improved picture quality. [Pg.323]
