The areas to maintain and enhance the product quality are identified, and for necessary competence of the employees, adequate in-house, outside training programs are conducted to satisfy these needs. The records of actions initiated are maintained. 

The employees are sent for outside training (if necessary or as needed).

The order used to clean these areas may be intuitive, but for clarity s sake we should keep in mind the following principle. Cleanup should be performed in the cleanest areas first. For the five-stage decontamination area mentioned, cleaning should start in the clean room. In fact, cleaning should start in the cleanest area of the clean room, and then address each area in order of cleanliness. The last area to be cleaned will be the dirty room. If workers will be performing cleanup activities, they should be properly trained and qualified. If an outside service is utilized, those workers should also be trained and qualified [4]. 

Training needs will vary according to team members familiarity with the approach you have selected. In a company with an active TQM program, you may need only a refresher course or briefing. For others it may be worthwhile to provide a more formal introduction to TQM techniques and processes. In many cases, the use of a trained facilitator (either from inside your company or an outside consultant) can greatly expedite the team s preparation and reduce the amount of individual team member training required.

The ANN as a predictive tool is most effective only within the trained range of input training variables. Those predictions that fall outside the trained range must be considered to be of questionable validity. Even so, whenever experimental data are available for validation, neural networks can be put to effective use. Since an extensive experimental body of data on polymers has been published in the literature, the application of neural networks as a predictive tool for physical, thermodynamic, and other fluid properties is, therefore, promising. It is a novel technique that will continue to be used, and it deserves additional investigation and development. 

Depending on its complexity and urgency, repair work may best be carried out by in-house staff employed and trained for this purpose (but not necessarily to the exclusion of other work) or by directly employed labor skilled in particular trades or by specialist contractors. In many cases immediate (but adequate) steps can be taken by permanent staff, sufficient to deal with an acute problem while deferring more comprehensive or permanent repairs to be carried out by outside specialists (possibly as part of a regular maintenance program with resultant economies). 

Several other manufacturers and distributors run short courses and training schemes, open to persons outside their own organization. A recent innovation is the Open Tech programme, a course in private study for personnel who have the initiative to do so in their own time.
