In the finite-difference appntach, the partial differential equation for the conduction of heat in solids is replaced by a set of algebraic equations of temperature differences between discrete points in the slab. In this rapidly evolving field, the detection of PDE enzymes in the central nervous system (CNS) has stimulated interest in exploring potential applications of PDE inhibitors for treating CNS disorders such as Alzheimer s disease and other cognitive malfunctions, depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. Names, position descriptions, summaries of training, experience, and location of major personnel engaged in the study must be obtained. It is also necessary to examine the workload of selected individuals to determine if they actually had time to accomplish the task specified by the protocol.
