Organization surveys

The types of compounds that are of concern as contaminants are chlorinated insecticides, organophosphates, herbicides, fungicides, fas-ciolicides (phenolic compounds administered to cattle to control liver flukes), antibiotics and sulfonamides, detergents and disinfectants, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Contaminants in milk have been reviewed by Kroger (1974) and Snelson (1979). In several cases, allowable levels for specific contaminants in milk have been set by the World Health Organization. Surveys have seldom revealed levels in excess of such standards. 

The data from the survey showed a wide variance in the authorization requirements. About 27% of the organizations surveyed required a single authorization, and 76% of those who responded accepted four or fewer authorizations. One company required seven authorizations, and another required 10 authorizations. These seemed to be the maximum determined on a case-by-case basis, according to the perceived risk level. Less than half of the organizations reported to employing the MOC procedure for organizational changes. [9]...

Several Pd(0) complexes are effective catalysts of a variety of reactions, and these catalytic reactions are particularly useful because they are catalytic without adding other oxidants and proceed with catalytic amounts of expensive Pd compounds. Photochromic Organic Dyes. Intensive investigations into this category of substances have led to numerous patent appHcations. Copper—phthalocyanine pigments, organic dyes based on cyanine (Ricoh, Pioneer), naphthochinone (Nippon Denki), and ben2othiopyrane (Sony) (123) have been described. They did not lead, however, to any commercial use. Surveys on the possibiUties of optical data storage with photochromic dyes can be found (124,125). 

Multiple chent studies have proliferated on a world basis since the first generally recognized study of this type done in 1952 on polyethylene by the Roger Wdhams organization. There are directories of available multiple cHent studies that can direct the researcher to a source, eg, FINDex—The FirectoTy of Market Research Keports, Studies, and Surveys. Multiple chent studies can have budgets of 50,000 to 250,000 and can require the equivalent of several work years by the researchers.
