Fortunately, in today s information age, there are a myriad of resources available such as online courses or video instruction. Other options to look into are found at your local library. Many libraries have resources available to support home learning as well as umbrella programs that can work well with the homeschooling curriculum. And, even though you may not be actively teaching the lesson, you are still the one making the choices about your child s education. 

Challenges Again, you will need to have a plan for these situations. Because most states have a list of required courses for homeschooling, there are bound to be instances where you will need to call on the help of a friend or colleague or else teach yourself a new skill. If you suddenly need to enroll your child in classes, enlist the help of a tutor, or buy an online course or software package, this could become an unanticipated expense. Enrollment in public school ensures that your child will be offered instruction in all areas required for graduation, but if your issues are with the quality of the education in your local school, you may have to look further.

Converting Face-To-Face Courses to Online Courses... 

Once the laboratory experiments were redesigned to be offered completely online, the next step was to convert our F2F ECE courses into online courses. All of the online courses were offered to a select number of students as pilot courses for at... 

Strongly on the background of the student and their conunitment to the course. The students who performed poorly in the online courses did so because they either fell behind in completing the course woik or missed a lot of weeks of course woik because of various reasons. The students who performed well in the online courses proved that the courses were well designed and delivered because they were able to perform as well or even better than the students enrolled in the F2F courses. 

The two pilot courses allowed us to evaluate the various strengths and weaknesses of our online courses. The students enrolled in the online courses had access to lecture recordings from the spring 2010 and fall 2010 semesters. The statistics of the usage of the course lectures recordings suggest that the students enrolled in the two online courses found the Panopto Focus lecture recordings veiy valuable to their success in the courses.
