MULTI-COLOUR

Water-white transparency of basic composition but capable of forming highly attractive multi-coloured sheeting. 

When rods are required they are placed in wooden trays in a formolising bath. If the requirement is for a disc or blank such as used by the button trade the extrudate is cut up by an automatic guillotine and the blanks are immersed in the formalin solution. For manufacture of sheets the rods are placed in moulds and pressed into sheets before formolising. Many attractive patterns may be made by pressing different coloured rods into grooves set on the bias to the rods, thus forming new multi-coloured rods. This operation may be repeated a number of times in order to produce complex patterns. 

The brain could be likened to a television set in which the amino acids are providing the basic positive and negative power lines, while the other NTs (the multi-coloured wires) control the colour, contrast and brightness. All are required for a perfect picture but some are obviously more important than others.

Metal phthalocyanines are extremely important materials in a variety of fields ont-side their traditional nse as dyes and pigments (Chapter 2, sections 2.3.1.6 and 2.4.1.4), inclnding electrochromism. The properties of metallophthalocyanines make them attractive as potential electrochromic materials, e.g. high light stability, high molar absorption coefficients, stable and sublimable at high temperatures, and the possibility of multi-colours within one structure. 

During the studies of phase behaviour two types of liquid crystalline phases were identified. LC material was viscous and exhibited intense "white" birefingence. material was apparently homogeneous but of low viscosity and exhibited "multi-coloured" birefringence. The liquid crystalline phases observed in the equilibrium studies of surfactant concentrations up to 25 are unlikely to take part in the self-emulsification process due to the presence of two-phase regions between L2 and liquid crystalline phases however, LC material may account for the improved stability of emulsions formed by 25 surfactant systems (Table II). Cellulosics could be moulded and extruded, and were employed in forms such as transparent or translucent tubes for packaging, and in multi-coloured effects for objects such as the barrels of fountain pens. Transparent tubes of high quality still are produced for use in packaging today.

Nobody can get from the black to the white colour, other than through the Peacock s tail, and nobody can get from the white to the red colour, other than through the yellow colour. Multi colour effects are obtainable with mixtures of types 100, 110 and 120 and further variations are possible by incorporating undycd or predyed polyester yams. 

May be printed on flat sheet or from reels. May use either a four colour process system (cyan, magenta, yellow and black), or a multi-colour system. As indicated above, almost any printing process can be (and is) used. The most common methods of printing today are all sheet fed, mainly using letterpress and offset litho.

Chirp-Acoustic-Profiler This system is a development of a sub-bottom-profiler, and can - due to the use of external hydrophone arrays - achieve resolutions of 8 -10 cm. The data is being displayed in real time and gives a multi-colour representation of the layering of the sediments on the seabed. Objects buried into the sedimentation layer will resolve with the same accuracy so that size and shape can be evaluated.
