Image forming

The process of image forming in GDC can be divided into several stages formation of a latent electron-ion image, amplification of a latent image in a pulse gas discharge and production of a visible half-tone image. [Pg.538]

The surest test for chirality is a careful examination of mirror image forms for superimposabihty Working with models provides the best practice m dealing with mol ecules as three dimensional objects and is strongly recommended... [Pg.282]

The ubiquitous use of the word Tine to describe an experimentally observed transition goes back to the early days of observations of visible spectra with spectroscopes in which the lines observed in, say, the spectmm of a sodium flame are images, formed at various wavelengths, of the entrance slit. Although, nowadays, observations tend to be in the form of a plot of some measure of the intensity of the transition against wavelength, frequency or wavenumber, we still refer to peaks in such a spectmm as lines. [Pg.34]

The impact on negative-CA resists of airborne base contamination differs qualitatively from their positive tone counterparts. Suppression of acid-catalyzed chemistry at the surface of a negative resist results in some film erosion at the top of the exposed fields and in some cases an apparent loss of photosensitivity, but in general the reUef images formed exhibit the expected cross-sectional profile. This is in sharp contrast with the typical behavior seen with positive-tone CA resists, where suppression of acid-catalyzed chemistry at the surface causes an insoluble surface skin. [Pg.128]

The TSM can be modified for reflected light confocal microscopy (TSRLM). In that case, one Nipkow disk above the objective serves both for the illuminating beams and the reflected image-forming rays. [Pg.331]

In each image-forming layer, developer oxidi2ed by the exposed silver haUde (Dev ) reacts with the appropriate coupler to form the corresponding subtractive primary dye, yellow, cyan, or magenta. Ar represents an aryl group and the various R s are undefined organic segments. Fig. 10. Attenuation the diminution of quantity. In the case of visibility, attenuation or extinction refers to the loss of image-forming light as it passes from an object to the observer. [Pg.522]
