Mold manifold

Tooling for injection blow molding consists of injection molding die set, injection molding manifold, parison injection molds, blow mold die set, blow molds, neck rings, core rods, face bars, end plates for the parison injection molds, secondary nozzles for the injection manifold, stripper bar, and retractable bottom plugs for the blow molds if the bottle push up exceeds 0.045 in. in depth. [Pg.284]

ICIFM-21SP Monopolar Electrolyzers. Id s EM-21 SP monopolar electrolyzer incorporates stamped electrodes that are 2 mm thick and of a relatively small (0.2 m ) size (50). The electrolyte compartments are created by molded gaskets between two of the electrode plates the electrode spacing is finite and is estabHshed by gasket thickness. The electrode frames are supported from rails and are compressed between one fixed and one floating end plate by tie rods. Inlet and outlet streams are handled by internal manifolds. A crosscut view of the electrolyzer is shown in Eigure 21. As of 1989, ICI had Hcensed 20 plants having an annual capacity of 468,250 t of NaOH. [Pg.496]

Hydrocyclones are available in numerous sizes and types ranging from pencil-sized 10-mm diameters of plastic to the 1.2-m (48-in) diameter of rubber-protected mild or stainless steel. Porcelain units 25 to 100 mm (1 to 4 in) in diameter are becoming popular, and in the 150-mm (6-in) size the starch industry has standardized on special molded nylon types. Small units for fine-size separations are usually manifolded in multiple units in parallel with up to 480 ten-mm... [Pg.1776]

While the manifolds were fabricated by a plain molding process, the microchannels substrate fabrication was quite complicated and was achieved by a multistage process. The following main stages were used in the process (1) double side oxidation of a 525 pm (1 0 0) silicon substrate to 1,000 A, (2) single side 1,200 A silicon nitride deposition, (3) silicon nitride channels template opening by reactive... [Pg.394]

Tubes and blown Aims can be produced as multilayer structures by employing multiple extruders and coextrusion manifolds and dies. Figure 12.44 is a schematic representative of a conventional and new spiral coextrusion die. The designs can be used for both blown-film and blown-molding parison dies. In the extrusion of tubes, such as rigid PVC or PE pipe, the extrudate passes over a water-cooled mandrel and enters a cold-water bath whose length depends on the tube thickness the tube leaves the bath well below its Tm (if it is crystalline) or Tg (if it is amorphous) and is sectioned to the desired lengths. [Pg.722]

It is important in this or any other heat stability test to mold the natural resin as a control. Some resins, especially acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), darken considerably when heated above a particular threshold temperature. In the case of ABS, the butadiene rubber component may begin to go yellow and dark over 450°F. Although the customer may set its machines below 450°F barrel temperatures, shear heating or heating in the hot runner manifold could yield local melt temperatures in excess of 500°F and burn the natural resin. [Pg.325]

Major polymer applications automotive (fuel lines and connectors, fuel pump components, fuel tanks, filters, injection rails, air inlet, manifolds, gears, wheel covers), gears for business machines, liners for flexible fuel hoses, automotive fuel system components, industrial molded parts, film fibers... [Pg.611]
